Hillary says no to the Pipeline.

You all lost this one, it hurts I'm sure.. <shrug>

Sure it hurts. But libtards don't care about jobs. We got that.

Not that many jobs to be had on this particular scheme. Better to move on to the future and alternative fuel/energy.

tell that to the people who lost a chance at a job here and now. now you want them to wait ten or twenty years.. yes we know.. libtards don't care about jobs, just their stupid ideology.. we got that.

Democrats dont have time for jobs. Crony payoff is to important. We even change the terms so they dont lose personal money. We give them billions get some campaign contributions and distort reality. It is official DNC policy. Think Extreme.

The wasted time was the first 8 years of the 2000s. All we did was waste lives and money trying to get more and more oil.

Lets at least try to move forward a little.

This is probably the dumbest decision to come out of Washington, DC in the last 25 or 30 years.

It's not about jobs....it's about Republicans sucking up to oil companies

It does Americans no good. It raises oil prices and helps oil company profits more than american jobs.

The jobs are temporary.....the pipeline and any damage it does is permanent

How can one individual be so uninformed on a topic? Every job is "temporary". You do realize that a pipeline is operated and maintained after being built, aren't you? Do you have the slightest clue how deep a pipeline is buried? You won't even know it is there unless you see the occasional marker along the route. People get paid to have the pipeline buried beneath the land. You seriously need to do some research instead of spouting talking points. It just makes you look like a buffoon.

Yes..

It provides 5000 temporary jobs for a two year period. After that, it provides 50 permanent positions. Hardly a blip on the employment rate yet a permanent headache for little gain

Pipelines leak, it is a gift that keeps on giving for little gain for average Americans who aren't oil company tycoons

So JUST for the pipeline, 5000 people will be able to go to work and provide for their families. Only 2 years? So what! This helps them NOW and they can always look for other permanent work, but in the meantime they're working! And in the end we all benefit....now all Obama has done is piss a lot of people off, AGAIN!

Are trying the old "blood for oil" garbage again?

Canada is your number one supplier. And we don't want to behead Americans or fly planes into any buildings. Iraq is way down at number seven.

Crude Oil and Total Petroleum Imports Top 15 Countries

September 2011 Import Highlights: Released November 29, 2011
Monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in September 2011 has been released and it shows that three countries exported more than 1,000 thousand barrels per day to the United States (see table below). The top five exporting countries accounted for 69 percent of United States crude oil imports in September while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 88 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports. The top five sources of US crude oil imports for September were Canada (2,324 thousand barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1,465 thousand barrels per day), Mexico (1,099 thousand barrels per day), Venezuela (759 thousand barrels per day) and Nigeria (529 thousand barrels per day). The rest of the top ten sources, in order, were Colombia (510 thousand barrels per day), Iraq (403 thousand barrels per day), Ecuador (299 thousand barrels per day), Angola (283 thousand barrels per day) and Russia (275 thousand barrels per day). Total crude oil imports averaged 9,006 thousand barrels per day in September, which is a decrease of (16) thousand barrels per day from August 2011.

Canada remained the largest exporter of total petroleum in September, exporting 2,829 thousand barrels per day to the United States, which is an increase from last month (2,637 thousand barrels per day). The second largest exporter of total petroleum was Saudi Arabia with 1,479 thousand barrels per day.

Ten times that number would have gotten jobs from Obamas high speed rail initiative.

Why didn't Republicans vote for that?

Two million jobs were generated by the Stimulus

Why didn't Republicans vote for that?

Republicans forced the issue rather than let it go through normal environmental approvals.....they lost

That's horseshit that only a dumbass like you could believe. It's about jobs, either Obama is for jobs or he isn't. I think right now the proof is in the pudding, he is more about killing jobs than he is for creating them. He is in a pickle right now, he can either piss off his environmentalist dumbasses and vote yes for the pipeline while pissing his union buddies wanting those jobs off, or he can vote yes and appease his union buddies while pissing off the environmentalists who support him, which is why he said he would make a decision after 2012, he is a pussy who is scared to death to make a decision, as we have always known him to be. A big Kenyan fucking pussy who could care less about America and the economy.

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

He wants to waste the taxpayer dollars on all those bankrupt GREEN JOBS..... He WILL find a way to bankrupt America, if he gets 4 more years, and if not before.

Move foward to what?

We have before us a plethora of domestic resources.

Obama has said NO.

Why?

Ten times that number would have gotten jobs from Obamas high speed rail initiative.

Why didn't Republicans vote for that?

High speed rail would have cost the taxpayers more than $100 billion dollars, and it would lose massive amounts of money every year it was in operation. The pipeline, on the other hand, would cost the taxpayers absolutely nothing.

Two million jobs were generated by the Stimulus

Why didn't Republicans vote for that?

Only Obama drones are falling for that con. furthermore, the "stimulus" cost over $850 billion. Again, the pipeline would cost the taxpayers absolutely nothing. You and Obama don't seem to understand the difference between $500,000 per job created (if there actually were any jobs create) and $0 per job created.

Approving a project that costs the taxpayers nothing and creates tens of thousands of jobs is a no-brainer. Obama proved he has no brain.

Say "Soyanara" to Obama!

Because, according to your own numbers, it cost $500,000 per job.

High speed rail is much like funding COPS...hire alot...for a time period, and the States/municipalities get stuck holding the bag to the point of failure and layoffs ensue after funding runs out.

It worked for the railroads in the 19th & 20th centuries.
It worked for Eisenhower when he built the natiional highway system.

Actually, no it didn't. All the railroads built with government subsidies went bankrupt. The interstate highway system put the surviving railroads out of business. The later system cost the taxpayers absolutely nothing. The final cost of the former was in the hundreds of billions of dollars.

That's the liberal conception of success.

So that's why roads are crumbling? Remember Obama and infrastructure? Remember that bridge that he gave his speech from?

Localities/States are left with the bill.

Nothing lasts forever, and the GOP won't allow funds to rebuild our infrastructure.
