Hilarious - Republicans will run on "Economic Know-how"

This isn't my quote, but it's a great answer to this laughable thread:

Companies just won’t hire beyond what they truly need when they have feckless incompetents passing and trying to pass burdensome legislation.

Eg, they are holding the economy hostage, ergo we should give them whatever they want in exchange for another promise to "Create jobs?" :eusa_eh:

Republicans still don't understand that companies don't "create jobs". They employ people to fill a "demand" by creating a "supply".

If no one has money besides rich people, there is no demand. Therefore, companies don't "create jobs". Is this concept too difficult for the right wing to understand? Seriously?

Right wing policies have helped CEO salaries to explode. The top 500 companies are making the biggest profits ever. They are sitting on trillions in capital. All of this, thanks to Republican policies. And are they making jobs? Fuck no. Unless "making jobs in China" counts.

This is what Republicans did. In fact, they are still supporting the same destructive policies. What is it they don't get? Seriously. Is it "determined ignorance"? Is it "forced stupidity"?

They've slashed corporate taxes. They've slashed taxes for the rich. They've created the biggest disparity between the middle class and the rich in American history. AND, what's worse, they insist those same, destructive and terrible policies will work, they just need more of a chance, the fools. When will they work? When we have nothing? We are almost there now.

That's a good question. States usually provide companies big incentives to move some or all of their operations within their borders. Federal Express is a great example. Memphis gave them lots of incentives so they moved there. That was a major economic boost for Memphis. At the federal level, if taxes and regulations are too oppressive, companies will move operations off-shore. I don't blame them since they have to remain competitive in a global market place. That said, I'm opposed to corporate welfare in a free market economy, but of course that's not what we have. If the Obama Administration would at least try to be a little bit competent, I'm sure companies would start hiring, but I don't see that happening.

They have no intention of starting to hire. In spite of eight years of Bus tax cuts, they didn't hire. Why should they start now?

Why should we continue the tax cuts?

8 years? Corporations slowed their hiring during the recession and now because of uncertainty in DC. America already has oppressive taxation and regulations for corporations, unless of course you own a candidate like GE owns Obama. For everyone else, if you raise taxes you'll have the "Atlas Shrugged" scenario and then the US will be finished once and for all. We're already hanging on by a thread. It's best not to push us over the edge, although Obama seems to be trying to do that.

Atlas Shrugged is a fantasy...
The reality is what happens when industry turns around and finds out they have no market to sell their product to

Private sector hiring in April was 244,000, the largest increase in 11.

Go ahead, embarrass me. Only about 10% of corporate money goes to Democrats. Remember, there are conservative Democrats. I suspect you would be hard pressed to find a liberal Republican. In fact, the Republican party is 90% white and mostly Christian. Of course they are mostly the SAME.

So you put up a picture of "one black guy"? You know he's part of the 10%.

Hey, isn't that the "pizza maker"? I'll take one with "mushrooms". Before the peppers turn into a "mushroom cloud".

What a racist statement. Typical of a lib.

Here's the dirty little secret, democrats have been at war with capitalism for decades and now that we have a neo-socialist in the white house the sleazy radicals who haven't got the honesty to tell us that they are socialists are promoting the Stalinist theory that corporations are the enemy and absolute fools like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Harry Reid and B. Hussein Obama and Al Gore are the solution. Barney Frank was chairman of the house banking committee when Fannie was in trouble. He confessed that he had "ideological blinders" on when he let Fannie go under. Obama appointed a communist to serve on his green jobs board. How are "green jobs" doing? Obama referred to the US Chamber of Commerce as a sinister tool of the GOP. What does that tell you about the democrat agenda? Anyone who thinks that fools like Frank and Barry Obama and the rest of the radical left are the good guys and corporate America is the enemy needs their head examined. Don't listen to these fools who rant against corporate America.

You seem to be the one doing the ranting.

Are you rdean?

No. Why does that matter? You called the statement racist, what does rdean have to do with your opinion of the statement?

I will wait for rdean to show up and give his explanation. Assuming, of course, that you are not rdean.

I'm Rdean and I have nothing to explain.

Now YOU explain, why was that a "racist" statement?

Is that the "pizza maker"? If anything, that would be Italian, like me.

Mushroom cloud. - like the Bush/Republican lies.

Pizza maker - has he ever served in office? I don't know.

Isn't he the guy who doesn't like "zoning laws" that have been around forever?

The Republican Party IS 90% white. That would mean he would have to belong to the other 10%.

Now, explain the "racist" accusation. Put up or.....
