It was not the gun that killed U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was shot and killed in Arizona near the Mexican border by illegal immigrants who had weapons from the program. After all guns don’t kill, people do. Who is really responsible for the agents death are those who refuse to enforce our immigration laws and secure the border.

They do state, however, that the vast majority of the small artillery used by drug cartels, such as handguns and assault rifles, are smuggled from the United States.

President Barack Obama has said that neither he nor Attorney General Eric Holder, who overseas the ATF, authorized that operation. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano recently testified that she was not aware of the “Fast and Furious” operation.

"Overseas the" is the sort of thing a computer should easily catch. I hope a professional journalist would never use software that auto-corrects spelling, because dumb auto-correction can result in something like "overseas the."

Lynching happens when the legal system is bypassed. Americans want Holder to follow the system and come clean about his part in the shipment of 3,000 illegal weapons to Mexico. The coverup is worse than the crime and so far Holder is facing contempt of congress charges for refusing to cooperate with the investigation. Lefties might not care but in addition to the Border Patrol agent who was killed with one of the weapons it seems that hundreds of innocent Mexicans might have been murdered with the operation Fast/Furious weapons.
