African Union on the hunt for Kony
Saturday 24th March, 2012 - The African Union has said it will deploy 5,000 troops to hunt down Joseph Kony.

Uganda, the Central African Republic, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo will supply soldiers for the mission to find the notorious leader of the Lord's Resistance Army. Kony is wanted for war crimes, including the use of children as soldiers and sex slaves, by the International Criminal Court.

The United States has supported the mission by sending 100 combat troops to the region to assist in the hunt for Kony, who has been terrorizing Uganda for more than two decades. With reports of child soldiers brainwashed by Kony officials into killing their own parents, the hunt has become urgent.

Kony troops are known for grisly rituals, including the slicing of body parts from victims. Kony formed the LRA in an attempt to overthrow the government of Uganda. He was forced out of Uganda in 2006 and has since lived in special hideouts, mostly in the jungle.

Kony 2012 instantly lost legitimacy just by looking at their financial reports and how they spend the money that actually goes to charity.


The Military of whatever country they are in (Uganda?) are infamous for looting and rape. They are supplying the military with weapons and ammo that they actually spend towards charity.
And the financial reports from the invisible children show that approximately 31% of donations actually go to charity. The rest goed to pay the wages of "volunteers" and expenses for promotional stuff. The camraman from KONY 2012 pocketed $100,000 from the movie...
