Hidden pot farms pose threat on public lands
Mar. 26, 2011
In early October, a hunter combing through a secluded area near Boomtown stumbled upon a marijuana farm worth nearly $8 million -- likely the largest outdoor marijuana cultivation discovered in Washoe County.

The discovery was one of several in 2010 on Nevada public lands that led law enforcement to destroy $40 million worth of marijuana, according to statistics from the Nevada Department of Public Safety.

"In 2008, the Mexican cartels started moving onto public lands in Nevada as a result of increased law enforcement pressure in California and Oregon, where they are well established," said JoLynn Worley, spokeswoman for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management

If this is not a foreign invasion of a terrorist organization, what is? This should be met with military force.

It's not an invasion. It's a small group of Mexican illegals capitalizing on something we should be capitalizing on, a crop that could create several new industries, hundreds of thousands of jobs and many billions in tax revenues. But it remains a persecuted plant because of high-level government corruption, political cowardice, gross ignorance and pious stupidity at the public level.
