Money is not and has never been the problem with our public education system. All of this claptrap from politicians and the NEA that they are unfunded is bull. When they say they need more money for the children, they mean more to spend on useless administrators and to line greedy pockets of the NEA.

It guarantees a continuous cycle of poverty and inadequate and unequal education.

why would black males with the ability to become a teacher not chose a higher paying occupation? there is an excess of whites that have a relatively high IQ and it is not such a waste to have smart people in low prestige, low pay fields.
blacks with greater ability should aim higher.
the alternatitive of having lower ability blacks becoming teachers through affirmative action and lowered standards is counter productive and possibly disasterous. I think that there will always be certain areas which blacks should just ignore because there are not enough qualified individuals to go around. perhaps teaching is one of them
