see, that's the issue right there. It wasn't a legal recount. It was a farce set up by an overstepping state supreme court that had no jurisdiction in which to rule in the first place. The SCOTUS rightfully stopped the shenanigans that Al Gore was spreading....

Voting laws are a States right, not a federal one.
