Hey Dumbass: Tax-Cuts Don't Have To Be Paid For

You don't pay for Tax Cuts. My God,so many are just so damn ignorant on Economics. I blame our disastrous dumbed-down public school system for this ignorance. You put budgets together based on your incoming revenue. If you put a budget together correctly,Tax Cuts don't mean anything. Just stop spending money you don't have. Pretty simple no? So WTF is wrong with our politicians? JEESH!

What funds the Government? Yea, dumbed down indeed.

I'll make it easy for you:

If all taxes collected totalled one dollar.

And the Government had ONE responsibility.....and it cost one dollar,

And you cut taxes..................................what happens?

Tax-Cuts do not have to be paid for. The Socialists/Progressives always use this B.S. spin when they want to f*ck the people over again. It's a pathetic excuse for them to raise taxes. If Budgets are put together honestly & correctly,Tax Cuts are always a good thing. You gotta love those Socialists/Progressives huh? Funny how it's always about those dreaded Tax Cuts but never ever about their spending insanity. It always comes back to spending in the end.

Yes, tax cuts do have to be paid for.

Gee, this is easy.

Again,Tax Cuts do not have to be paid for. Man,it's like banging your head against a brick wall with these people. Put your budget together properly and correctly and Tax Cuts don't mean a thing. Just spend the money you have coming in and don't exceed that amount. That seems pretty crazy huh? That's how bad things are in this country. Putting together an intelligent & proper budget just seems so crazy to many in this country. Talk about a dumbed-down nation? Sad stuff.

Did you even read what I posted or are you too ignorant to do that?

Here it is again:

"There comes a point where you can't lower the taxes anymore though. Did you ever think about that? There are some things you can't cut out of the budget to make up for the tax cut. Thus, there is a point where you can't cut taxes anymore. I think we've reached that point now judging by the massive deficit growth..."

The fact is, it's semantics. You're the dipshit calling people dumb and calling the school system awful......................for stating something that's Technically true. Tax cuts do need to be paid for, by allocating the funds from elsewhere (spending cuts, for example) to make up for the budgetary deficit they create.

That you don't understand that....................and call people who do.....the dumb ones, is the height of fucking irony.

This is why Socialist/Progressive Wingnuts cannot be trusted on economic issues. Most of them have never actually run a business themselves. Most in this current Administration are career politicians & academics who know absolutely nothing about running businesses. They can recite word for word all of Mao Tse Tung's rantings but can't put a proper budget together. They are lost. It is time for real change. Lets hope this starts happening this November.

Dude, read your post to yourself six times, print it out, and smash your face with it. You're the loon.

Any business owner(ahem), can tell you.....that cuts in Revenue (in this case taxes), have to be made up...............by cuts elsewhere....the cuts elsewhere are referred to as a "cost." If you do not make up for the cuts in revenue, you run a deficit.......or as many business owners (ahem) say, "upside down."

Read a fucking book for shit's sakes.

Okay, so if you've ran a business then you are familar with a thing called "fixed costs" right? Now imagine you don't make enough money to pay for those fixed costs. You start losing money, right?

Um not. Tax cuts result in less or more revenue depending on their effect on the economy.

You guys thinking they need to be "paid" for comes from the fact that you assume it is the governments money. Wrong. It is ours. Tax cuts simply mean they tax less of our money.

What you seem to be saying. Is tax cuts can never happen. Because in order for them to be paid for. The government will have to raise taxes somewhere else to make up the difference.

That thinking ignores the fact that Taxes have an effect on economic growth. How do you explain the times in the past. When we cut taxes big time. Like JFK did, and saw a large increase in revenues?

or take the Maryland tax on the rich. They increased the tax on the top earners by 6.5% expecting to see a 100 Million dollar increase in revenue and instead so revenue decrease by 200 Million. Go figure.

Who was the last Republican president to have a balanced budget?

You're arguing over semantics.

Who's money it is is irrelevant to the question: do tax cuts cost anything.

From a budgetary standpoint, which is what you'd assume we're discussing, they absolutely have a cost.

It's got nothing to do with your feelings of unfairly being taxed, etc...............it's just simple math. If you cut revenue, the budget gap it creates needs to be made up or else there's a deficit. It's simple, really.

And I highly doubt that tax cuts would create more revenue for the Gov't. I'm not sure how that math would even work out.

I didn't say this at all, in fact, I explicitly said they'd have to be made up for, in a budget, by CUTS elsewhere.

Can't argue with you on that one. The Republicans lost their way a long time ago too. However i do feel the Republican-led Congress did have a hand in forcing a balanced budget back when Clinton was in there. If the Republicans win Congress back this time,i think things will change for the better in this regard. I guess we'll see though. For now i have to count on "Hope & Change" this November. ;)

There was a Republican Congress AND President for 6 of the last 10 years.

Well even that is not always true. As we have seen in the past. Sometimes cutting taxes leads to more revenue not less.

Because of outside factors.....NECESSARILY.

Why?

If I cut your Taxes by a dollar, my revenue goes down by a dollar.

Even if that cut is spent.........by you.....100%..............

I get what back, of that Dollar? (hint: not 100%).

If you invest it for further money down the road and use it more efficiently, fine. But there's too many outside factors tounequivocally say: tax-cuts lead to more Gov't revenue.

Do the math man. What you are saying is a complete contradiction.

No it is not. JFK lowered the top marginal rate from 91% to 70% and revenue increased dramatically.

Taxes take away from Economic Activity. More Activity means more tax Revenue, even at lower rates.

You clearly do not understand this issue at all.

You are hopeless it appears.

When you cut taxes by 1 dollar, You may end up seeing more economic Activity. Leading to more tax payers. and MORE REVENUE.

Google the JFK top marginal rate tax cut. And tell me what happened to revenues when he did it.

It's all about the spending folks. Hard decisions are going to have to be made. Many will actually get hurt politically by this. Drastic cuts in spending are going to have to happen. Many people in this country will want to punish the politicians for doing this but it really is the only logical solution. Our massive problems haven't even begun to be addressed yet. We haven't even felt real pain yet. When the necessary cuts are finally made, there very well could be rioting in the streets from the usual suspects. Tax Cuts or raisng taxes really is irrelevant. Tougher times are ahead for this nation. The spending madness days are numbered and that's when the real pain will be felt.
