Hey cons: if your solution to the min wage issue is to tell those people...

There is no conservative media. The media is entirely dominated by liberals. This has been proven over and over.

No it hasn't. It's been claimed over and over by the right-wing media, but it certainly isn't true.

Do you get up every morning and recite the Conservative Catechism: "I believe in the Chicago School of Economics, Ronald Reagan and the power of the Free Market. I believe the media is biased in favour of the liberals, poor people are stupid lazy and deserve their fate, the government can't be trusted, and without my gun, I am nothing".

The US media is owned and controlled by corporate interests. FOX is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who has used his media holdings both in the US and Great Britain, to promote a conservative narrative and agenda. Fox News was created to provide a conservative slant to the news.

There is a very large right wing presence in talk radio.
Yes talk radio is the only real outlet for conservative media. The main stream stuff is entirely dominated by liberals. The Obama Administration used that to push their IRan deal, as was detailed last week.
Really really sucks to be you.
Survey: 7 percent of reporters identify as Republican

7% of journalists identify as Republican. 28% identified as Democrat, but over 50% are INDEPENDENT.

This completely negates your theory that the media has a liberal bias. Rather, it would indicate that the media is, by and large, providing fair and balanced coverage.

With the exception of MSNBC, which owns it's bias, and FOX News which says it's fair and balanced but really exists to destroy the liberal movement so Rupert Murdoch and his buddies can screw over Americans.

If you get your calculator out, you would find that there are four times as many Democrats than Republicans (7X4=28). And if your stats are true, what happened to the other 15%?

"Socialist" "Communist" and "Green" would all be "Independent."
Sucks to be you.

No, they come under the heading of "Other". There were 4 categories: Democrat, Republican, Independent and Other.

Independent means not affiliated with any party.

Your attempt is noted, as well as the total failure of same.

First off, they're not my stats, they're Rottweiler's stats. The ones he was using to prove the liberal bias of the media.

Yes there are four times as many Democrats who are reporters as Republicans, but more than half of all reporters are independents. The remainder are Other.

And quite frankly, it doesn't matter what party the reporter belongs to because it's his/her bosses who decides what stories to run. You think Fox News is going to run a program praising President Obama?

The media is owned and operated by large corporations or very wealthy individuals like Rupert Murdoch. They're not going to be promoting a radical leftist agenda.

News organizations are large corporate entities who are out to make money.

Maybe over half claim to be Independents but I bet they voted for Obama which makes them losers.

Yes the are, just like any business.

Limbaugh, Fox news and others, all became hits almost over night. Do you know why? Because every other broadcast was liberal biased.

As for Fox praising Obama, of course they don't do that. They didn't do it to Bush either. But Fox did air Bill O's interview with Obama, and Bill had some nice things to say about him at the time. Again last night, he also extended an invitation to Hillary to do the same thing. Never heard back from her.

If they voted for Obama they were Democrats. Some reporters register as independent so as to pretend unbiased representation.

Hillary Clinton and her cabal are afraid of appearing on FOX News. She backed out of the debate on Fox with her nemesis Bernie Sanders. She's afraid of being asked hardball questions and then asked follow-up questions.

Hillary Clinton must be furious. This was to be her coronation, instead she's having to fight.

I think Rush said it best. He said that the more exposure she gets, the worse her poll numbers. As long as she''s out of the spotlight, her poll numbers freeze or go up.

That will make it really tough on her during the debates. How can you debate when anytime you open up your mouth, more and more people dislike you?

Here is your opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals about economics and business Billy000. Everything you want to believe is simply false. Now the question is - will you learn and accept reality or will you do what other liberals do and reject reality in favor of ideology?

Why are so many workers struggling today?

Some union-backed analysts have a straightforward answer: “Their employers are cheating them.” They claim businesses no longer compensate workers for their productivity. This argument demonstrates H.L. Mencken’s point that “for every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.”

Competition forces employers to base pay on productivity. Firms that consistently pay workers more than they produce go out of business, as Bethlehem Steel famously demonstrated. But firms that underpay their employees also don’t last long.

Imagine a firm that tried paying some employees just half of what they produce. A competitor could reap large profits by hiring away those productive workers for slightly more. But then another competitor would offer even higher pay. Competition quickly bids up workers’ pay to their productivity level. To keep good employees, businesses must pay them commensurately with their productivity.

This explains why over 95% of Americans make more than the minimum wage. Federal law does not require employers to pay above $7.25 an hour. Economic laws do. A company that wants a quality workforce has to pay for it.

JAMES SHERK: Simple — and wrong — solutions in search for higher wages

No dummy it was never against the law to free your personal slaves. What a retarded claim.

More indisputable proof that ass-clap has no idea what she is talking about....

So why didn’t Jefferson end slavery in his own home? State law in Virginia was very clear, and Jefferson wrote about it, saying the laws would not permit him to “turn them loose.” One law regarding slavery stated that if there was debt, slaves could not be freed and must be held to pay off that debt. Jefferson was, in today’s dollars, $2.5 million in debt. So by state law, he could not free his slaves.

Black civil rights leaders from multiple eras — Benjamin Beneker who personally knew Jefferson, Henry Highland Garnet, Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King Jr. — praised Jefferson for his relentless efforts to end slavery.

When he was elected to the legislature of Virginia and took office in 1769, one of the first measures he introduced, along with senior legislature Richard Bland, was to end slavery in the entire state of Virginia. They were severely chastised for the measure with a clear message: You will not speak out against slavery — but Jefferson continued to do so. He went to court on two occasions and fought for slaves to receive freedom, pointing out that all men were created equal with equal rights under their creator. When he was elected to the Continental Congress, he introduced a measure to end slavery in all of the United States. That measure fell by one vote.
