Hey Christians, why are you clebrating paganism?

Speaking of the cross.......

If Christianity is a religion of peace and love, why is their NUMBER ONE talisman some poor guy bruised and bleeding, nailed to a cross?

Shouldn't a religion of tolerance and love reflect those values? I think it would be better to show Yeshua as He was prior to, or after His crucifixion, not during.

You need to go study some more.

Preferably not from the sides of cereal boxes.

This is not to say that he rules the world completely; only God does this. But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world (within the boundaries God has set for him) and has allowed Satan to operate with an agenda. When the Bible says Satan has power over the world, it must be made clear that God has given him domain over unbelievers alone. Believers are no longer under the rule of Satan (Colossians 1:13). Unbelievers, on the other hand, are caught "in the snare of the devil" (2 Timothy 2:26), lie in the "power of the evil one" (1 John 5:19), and are in bondage to Satan (Ephesians 2:2).

So is it ok to exterminate the unbelievers (i.e. non-born agains)? :cuckoo:

You know.......every year around this time, I start wondering the same old question.......

Why are good Christians celebrating pagan holidays? Do they know that Christmas is timed to coincide with the Winter Solstice? Do they also understand that Yeshua was actually born around the end of October?

How about Christmas caroling? Do you know the origins of that? What about Santa Claus and his flying reindeer? Know what made them fly? Legend has it that it was the Amantia Muscaria mushroom used by Siberian shaman.

Do they also understand that Christianity was mixed with paganism via the Catholic church and the Roman Empire?

And the........there's that little thing of remembering exactly who HaShem is, and not worshiping any false gods or idols.

So, why are you Christians celebrating paganism?
So, will you be turning down all Christmas gifts given to you? Insisting on working during your company's Christmas holiday? Not buying from stores running Christmas sales?
Those are pagan too...so why would he?

No reason at all, if he doesn't mind looking like a hypocrite.

So it might be ok to exterminate unbelievers (i.e. non-born agains)? :cuckoo:

What about exterminating child molesters, like the pedophile Muhammad, Monkey Brain?

Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad...
Muhammad married ‘A’isha in Mecca when she was a child of six and lived with her in Medina when she was nine or ten. She was the only virgin that he married. Her father, Abu Bakr, married her to him and the apostle gave her four hundred dirhams.

you're a nutjob :cuckoo:

I'm always curious as to whether or not people with such strong views on a group of people identify and socialize with them on a daily basis. Some of the biggest racists and homophobes I know never make an honest attempt to associate with the groups they ostracize with. It's easier to post angry hyperlinks than humanize the people you hate, I guess.

You know.........I don't really think there is anything right with celebrating a significant birth that occurs on some other day than what it really happened.

First off, because of that, you're bearing false witness, which is against the 10 Commandments.

Second, by celebrating via pagan rituals tied into pagan holidays, don't you think that kinda goes against what Yeshua taught?

And finally........Yeshua had stated that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter Heaven. Don't you think that the greed and commercialism that is most commonly associated with this time of year (hence the term "silly season"), goes against what He'd taught?

It really is amazing how many of you Christians go with the okey doke without bothering to find out the why.

It does not matter when you celebrate a persons birthday(especially since the actual date was not given--duh!) but the act of celebrating a persons birth is a sign of appreciation of that individual.

Christians may haveconfiscated the winter solstice in the process, but the holiday is alot more fun than easter and with the imitation of Saint Nicholas little personality issues(ahem--hiding gifts amongst others possesions), it allows the appreciation of every individuals present.

So, I say Happy Christmas to all Christians. Now If I can figure out why buddhists ring bells at the end of the year, I probably wouuld celebrate that as well.

Does anyone knows why Buddhist ring bells at the end of the year? I try googling it.

Am I supposed to care about what you think or don't think?
