Milkmen, street sweepers, lamp lighters, switchboard operators, pin monkeys and chariot repair men have all become obsolete for one reason or another. The world keeps spinning. This is an issue of budgeting. When running a business, you have to determine what a position is worth. If I sell a burger for $1.00, many things make up that dollar. Most costs are fixed but labor is tricky. Not everyone is the same. Great employees should earn more because they bring additional profit. They help to fix the labor cost. To raise every employee to an arbitrary minimum, we encourage business to look for alternative means to fix that cost.

When raging in a post, why don't you "do the math dummy"! Jobs don't (and shouldn't) pay based on employee need, they pay based on the businesses need to produce. Those people are free to seek work elsewhere or get two jobs or go to school and learn a trade or start their own business or create a new industry or, or, or, or, or, or .....
