Here is your liberty progressives

Really? then tell me what authoritarian ideas I believe in regarding US citizens and their right to freedom?

Yeah tell me what I believe in because it certainly isn't progressive bullshit and it certainly isn't republican bullshit..

I'm a classical liberal...

Apparently you know nothing about me and have never read my posts on numerous issues.

I have read them enough to know exactly what you are all about. You are one of the millions who turned from anti-government types to ultra-nationalists the minute we had a republican president and back again as soon as he was replaced by a democrat. You fear true populism every bit as much as those billionaire bankers who still wonder why we never dragged their fraudulent, larcenous asses into the streets in 2009 and will in the end back them up all the way like the authoritarian follower you really are.

Give me an example of where I support any sort of authoritarian philosophy..

Go motherfucker show me...

"ultra nationalism"

What the fuck is wrong with you?

I'm only flying an upside down US flag in my sig and flying an upright libertarian flag...

Oh and I'm only a proud member of my local libertarian chapter.....

You claiming I support authoritarian ideas is a fucking joke....

Flags, symbols and belonging to sad little clubs does not make you anything like an anti-authoritarian. It takes more courage and commitment then you have ever shown yourself capable of to actually stand against the powers that be and it especially requires a rejection of the authorities, all of them, and not just the ones who you have been told to detest. I have not seen a self described libertarian yet that allowed themselves to see the most powerful and unaccountable people in the world, the billionaire class, as anything other than benevolent benefactors to the rest of us retched rabble, that makes you a follower.

Elected officials legislate and taxpayers fund the laws and the assholes who legislate those laws...

Did you sleep through civics??

I love you fucking apes - how you think business is bad and the assclowns who take away your freedoms (government) is good..

You're too fucking dumb to even have a debate with me...

You're saying that most legislation is not backed by big business, and in their favor? Seriously? And you're calling me dumb? Taxpayers pay for legislation? Really? Holy cow. I guess lobbyists and campaign contributions and kickbacks don't exist and have NO impact on what bills are brought up for vote. Holy shit...

You didn't answer my question. WHERE DO THE BILLS COME FROM? It sure as hell isn't the taxpayers nor out of thin air or congress' ass - thought most of them smell like it. And 99%of the time, those bills are NOT in the interest of the American people, but turn out to be a boon for big business and the utra rich. They PAY for that legislation, dammit.

Can you do something for me? Can you name one piece of legislation - just one - for and supported by the American people that does not benefit corporations or the wealthy that has actually passed... and has teeth? Just one. I'll wait.

You have no basis to make any of those accusations about me...

I'm anti government and anti cop and I get shit for it from authoritarians like yourself all the time...

Now you're calling me the authoritarian??

How about you go fuck yourself.... You sound like a frustrated national socialist.

Really? so why the fuck are there so many government regulations on business dummy?

You anti-business communists are fucking stupid people... Your ignorance is astounding.

Your posts reaffirm that I have made the right decisions in my life and didn't end up like you. Thanks for posting and reminding me.

Depends. Some regulation is paid for by big business to squash competition and to give themselves tax advantages - see the dairy industry and "organic registration" legislation / capital gains taxes and loopholes for the elite. Some is in place because companies were harming people or the environment, so legislation was passed to address that. What regulation are you referring to?

And I'm not anti business - I'm starting a small business soon. It's just that mega-corporations have WAY, WAY too much power and control over what's left of OUR government. It's pretty much their government now. For the corporation, by the corporation...

Demonstrate how anti-authoritarian you are and tell us how you feel about the most powerful and untouchable people in the world, the billionaires. We all know they are the true power behind every throne, tell us how you despise them for their unaccountable authority and immunity from responsibility Mr. anti-authoritarian. All this police state crap is for their benefit and no one else so you must have some choice words for us on the subject.

Shouldn't that be both parties lines we need to stop towing?

Absolutely, but at the same time its the progressives who have gone batshit authoritarian.

Our society has become way more authoritarian under progressives than it has under republicans.

Republicans are the lesser of the two evils....

If a republican president allowed this nonsense I would be just as upset - and quite frankly disturbed...

Then again republicans don't want a Marxist society where government runs every aspect of everyones lives.

Republicans didn't start the DHS, they didn't enact the PA, and they didn't sign on to enact the NDAA? Wow, that's a new one on me! Give it a fucking break, if you are supposed to be some "libertarian" , you wouldn't want anything to do with the majority of republicans.

You guys need to stop asking so many questions of Mr. Nick. That will just be his signal to abandon the thread.

Mr Nick seems confused about who supports spying.

Remember Warrantless Wiretapping? Who supported that?

Evil tyrannical assholes such as your president...

You're confused...

Congress's Republican leadership yesterday threw its weight behind two of President Bush's most controversial national security programs, warrantless wiretapping and extrajudicial military tribunals.

GOP Leaders Back Bush on Wiretapping, Tribunals

The republicans even attacked Dems and the ACLU for being against it.

With prodding from Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 10 to 8 along party lines to approve a bill negotiated with the White House to allow -- but not require -- Bush to submit the National Security Agency's warrantless wiretapping program to a secret court for constitutional review.

Along party lines?!?! But Mr Nick says...nevermind

LOL.

Remind me about your stance on the Patriot Act.

Remind me on your stance about cutting the military budget.

Link me to where progressives "like government spying on us".

The patriot act is reviewed and must be renewed every few years.

Too bad leftist fascists ignore that tiny factoid.

Uep and a much higher percentage of republicans voted to re-up it las time than did demoncrats.

Such a shame when the system works.
