The only true regulation works through the consumer's wallet. Don't buy it they want sell it. but your opinion is so cloudy with democrat talking points why bother?

What some fail to understand is, not everyone considers all those promises to have been necessary or beneficial for this country as a whole. If you look at each one, you will most likely notice that they pander to small groups that do not, by a long shot, represent Americans as a homogenous group. Most of those small groups represent some of O's pet minority constituencies. Others boil down to payoffs to Barry's best buddies. Follow the money, then tell me how wonderful all these promises kept are. This does not make Barry's list of "accomplishments" a compelling motivation to put him in office again. He was, and still is, abysmally un-qualified for the office he holds.

Self-regulation is a slow process that only works to an extent. Unfortunately, many things corporations do fall through the cracks. Consumers can't be aware of everything.

 It's amazing how people such as yourself remain in denial despite having concrete evidence right in front of your eyes.

Abysmal? Do you know what Bush's lowest approval rating was? 18%. Obama's lowest is 38% thus far.

And politicians are even less aware of whats going on and you think they can take care of me better than I can?

AS far as certain industries go, yes. We NEED gov programs like the EPA, FDA, and FAA.

You do realize that the private sector can't possibly pay for everything, right?

They can, but there is no motivation for the private sector to construct roads that their competition can use nor is there motivation for the private sector to educate the next generation.

That's why we form governments - to do the tasks and provide the services that need to happen, but have little or no profit motivation.

What government shouldn't be doing is micromanaging the private sector via a complicated tax code of favoritism.

And here are republican accomplishments, still true.

"Well, I have been studying the Republican Party for over 12 years at close hand in the Capital of the United States. And by this time, I have discovered where the Republicans stand on most of the major issues. Truman Library - Public Papers of the Presidents: Harry S. Truman

The only true regulation works through the consumer's wallet. Don't buy it they want sell it. but your opinion is so cloudy with democrat talking points why bother?

Consumer purchasing votes will do NOTHING to regulate a polluting industrial site that sells it's goods in a different neighborhood.

The best mechanism for regulation is require every business with a smoke-stack to have a manager with authority who is raising his or her own family in the shadow of the plant.

Good advice for EVERY vote you cast next fall.

Too fucking bad the Supreme Court doesn't support transparency in politics to the point of favoring and providing for secrecy.
