Here Comes Socialism

The Obama presidency: Here comes socialism

2009-2010 will rank with 1913-14, 1933-36, 1964-65 and 1981-82 as years that will permanently change our government, politics and lives. Just as the stars were aligned for Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson and Reagan, they are aligned for Obama. Simply put, we enter his administration as free-enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America. We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or Sweden — a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private-sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.

Scary stuff. I know someone who is a small business owner. This government isn't going to recognize this business as being a small business. There are a lot of people dependant on this company. When Obama's admin starts taxing the shit out of so called "small" business, only to take those taxes and pay it to the underachievers, this so called "small" business very well may not survive. As with many "small" businesses, that fall into that category, you then have a lot of unemployed people. What do they do? If they are unable to find a job, it's probably unemployment benefits, perhaps food stamps, welfare, medicaid... and so on. In other words, government dependant. I could probably go on and on about this and it's repercussions, but I just sound like I'm babbling. I just know, this business owner is sweating bullets right now. I'm sure a lot of "small" business owners are, too. It's going to be a sad state of affairs.

:clap2:

I do believe this is Obama's goal. A Socialist Democracy seems where Obama is heading.

How anyone can suggest that the big bailout is socialism is beyond me. A socialist administration wouid have nationalised the banks, not handed them taxpayer billions for them to hand out as bonuses.

I see Obama as attempting to save capitalism in America, he's no socialist, despite what the fevered might think. A socialist would stand idly by and watch while the economy fell into a deep chasm before chucking a neutron bomb down the chasm to destroy what was left. A socialist would then rebuild the economy in socialist form.

Dick Morris is a twat and hasn't a clue what he's on about. He has made himself look like an ignorant fool.

says someone I figure never listened to Randi Rhodes in his life.

im sorry but i have, and after i heard nothing but put downs and bad mouthing people, and of course no intelligent conversations with the callers,i figured IT IS A FUCKING WASTE OF TIME.....if i wanna listen to a talk show host who leans to the left ill take Ed Shultz,at least you get intelligent conversation, not put downs.....

I just read Outrage by him. Good book, however he seems to be more angry by far about Liberals then Republicans when it comes to corruption. He shrugs off corruption after corruption from Republicans but spends his rants all on Liberals and how they are the scourage/problem.

A socialist democracy is not where Obama is heading. However, if raising the tax rate 4% and having regulations on Wall Street is Socialism then under that definition; yes.

Dick Morris is hoping and praying that the Republicans gain power by 2012, and this is probably the most popular theory to him of how they'll do so.
