Help with embedding video in posts

I'm not sure if this should be posted here...so move it if it needs to go elsewhere.

How does one embed video in a post?

It seems to work alright with Youtube videos, but when I try to embed videos from other sites, I can't seem to do it.

When I find a video, I usually can find the embed code (with all the bells and whistles that should be in a good computer code), but then I'm not sure what to do from there.

What are you doing now? I mean what actions are you taking to do it? If you can reproduce them - dot points - someone might be able to assist.

try {youtube} geek video embed info {/youtube} and change the {} to []

thats not even necessary with youtube these days. Just copy and paste the url.

But I'm talking about embedding video from another site. For example hulu.com.
