I wonder.....

Was fascism horribly wrong, or was it the fact that Hitler was running the show as a dictator?

Was Communism wrong, or was it the fact that it was led by totalitarian dictators like Lennin, Stalin, and Mao?

Is Capitalism wrong, or is it the corruption of Wall street, and ENRON that gives the appearance of wrongness?

Is Democracy wrong, or was it just the corruption of Nixon?

Is Socialism wrong, or is it the dictator or corruption that gives it a bad name?

**Help out and give the name of the Dictator or corruption that it is known for in a socialistic system.

Any system of government could be done right or wrong depending on circumstances.

Democracy is probably not going to work if a country is dirt poor and needs to get things done quickly to catch up. Turkey under Ataturk was not at all Democratic..but modernized quickly.

None of them are inherently wrong or right but rather some can work and some do not as well as some being far more open to becoming corrupt. Capitalism in itself is not feasible anyway. You need some basic protections built into it from socialism to make it work. Communism cannot exist in idyllic form because it does not take basic human nature into account. If we ever get to the point of a ‘super majority of goods’ then it is possible that a system like that could exist but it would require everyone to have a holodeck and a gene re-sequencer at home (not going to happen). Democracy is another thing that cannot exists in a pure form hence the constitutional republic we have, or constitutional representative democracy for those that cannot accept the fact that we are a republic. Wrong is not a good term for it though. Even a despot can be a good government (as a matter of fact would be the best) if you had a benevolent leader that was fair and good. What we can say though is that some are more effective, some are more resistant to corruption, and some have grater protections for the individual citizens or people.
