Outside the mountian mists
My name is Atse'hashke'

But this is also the name of one called Coyote First Angry

Who is also called the Wandering Coyote

I have served as a Marine, but this was very long ago

This means I am a Marine, but I have little knowing of what is current

I am not one who posts much

But I have come to enjoy reading the posts of others

I am of the people of the Blue Corn

I was born to the Tséníjíkiní (cliff dwelling people) and for the Yé’ii Dine’é (the Giant people)

I would say that I am conservative in my views

SixFoot,

It is thanks to you that I have found this place

deltex1,

I have known many of your people

We have always found ways around our differences

Moonglow,

Is Goofy dressing up as a modern day vampire?

I have just noticed that there is a moderator with the name of Coyote

I am not wishing to confuse anyone here

Would it be better if my name was changed?

If you are wishing to change this, may I use Atse'hashke'?

Welcome to USMB. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I did not confuse you with the moderator, Coyote. Moderators have a special tag on their avatar that says "moderator." I'm sure they will let you know if it is an issue, though.

The fire is warm. Coyote (the mod) has all the chocolate, though.

Welcome to Hell Fire Corner LOL..steve

Welcome! From my own limited experience, I really like it here. Moderation is not too heavy handed and seems pretty impartial. The moderators I have had contact with all seem to be quite professional when you have a problem or something. Some of the posters are . . . well, meh, but that's to be expected where ever you go, I suppose. It's a fairly busy forum with a lot of different viewpoints, and I like that. IMO, it's pretty good here.

I'm not certain what all that means but welcome to the party.

I wish to thank all of you for your words of welcome

This is a very big place

It will take me a time to find the words that interest me and what I should respond to

Sayit,

I was telling of what my name means and how it is that I am called Coyote

I was telling that I served in the Marines a very long time ago

I told that I am of the people you call Navajo

I also gave greeting in the way of my people

Telling of the clans of my mother and father

I am not like most of my people in that I live outside the four mountains

This is why the name I was given came to fit me well

I am the wandering Coyote

Since the time I left my mother's Hogan with Mr. Johnstone I have traveled much

My English is not always so good

But I have a good friend who is a natural linguist who helps at times

He is one of very few outside the clans who understands Dinetah words

But he is away at school more now as he has aged

He is like a grandson to me
