HEALTHCARE, WAR AND DEFICIT

You cannot have healthcare reform, pay for the war and pay down the deficit without raising taxes. Is it not the first time and will not be the last time we have had to raised taxes. If Bush had not done all the out of control spending, we would not be in this mess today.

Healthcare, whether we pass reform of not, we will still pay for those who do not have healthcare. Doing nothing is more of the same. Right wingers healthcare reform is buying private insurance across state lines, which will bring down cost. But the problem with that is, private healthcare cannot provide affordable healthcare for those who cannot afford it. If people are not working or working at low paying jobs, cannot buy any kind of healthcare and that is where the government comes in to help. Medicare advantage plans are private providers and they have to make a profit or they do not exist.

Those millions of seniors who are satisfied with their medicare are those who have medicare and medicaid and do not pay anything.

Medicare advantage plans are too expensive for seniors. High premiums, co payment and deductions are to high and seniors often go without healthcare for these reasons.
How can we approve war spending without raising taxes? That is what got us into this mess anyway. Bush spent and did not raise taxes to pay for the spending and the result is a trillion-dollars deficit.

We have more than a trillion dollar deficit and the only way to pay it down it to raise taxes. Cutting taxes only increase the deficit.

Right wingers just want more of the same.
