HC bill, 1502 pages

Remember the speed reader that House Energy & Commerce Committee hired for reading Energy and climate change bill?

Well, he was on the floor again today to read the 1500 page HC bill.

Whatever happened to, keep it simple, stupid?
This is going to be so convoluted, that the constitutional lawyers and trial lawyers will have a field day with it. The word "IS" will have to be defined in the language, I'm sure.

Speed reading = comprehension? I don't think so, Tim.

If these bills are so cumbersome that they need interpreters to know what they say . . . . wth?

Maybe they should change it to Keep It Simple, Idiot cause stupid is above their pay grade.

When all is said and done, I have a feeling that all Canadians will be able to get coverage under this bill.

That's a good one, but more likely the entire world will be covered under this bill with the American tax payer paying for it.

And to think that this is only one of the bills that these morons have come up with, now combine that with the 4 other 1,000+ page bills and what do you get, one big pile of poop.

House HC bill even bigger... 1990 pages.

It runs more pages than War and Peace, has nearly five times as many words as the Torah, and its tables of contents alone run far longer than this story.

The House health care bill unveiled Thursday clocks in at 1,990 pages and about 400,000 words. With an estimated 10-year cost of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word.

And for some members, that may not be enough.

A “robust” public option can’t be found in the bill. Neither can the word “doctor” – save for a few references to degrees. No “cost curve” is bent. No “blue pill” is dispensed.
