Have you taken the Obama Pledge yet?

And Obama voted for Bush's bail-out plan. It's only going to get worse unless conservatives take over Congress.

What conseratives? There's none left in Congress apparently since they fell behind Bush's policies for eight years.

A whole generation of kids at the very least are going to be fucked because of No Child Left Behind for example.

And I didn't know war after war was being Conservative with both the troops and our soldiers. :cuckoo:

There are quite a few conservatives in Congress. Look at who voted against the bail-out bill.

No Child Left Behind actually has had some successes, although our Public Schools were already in a mess before. That's why my kids go to Private Schools.

War after war was being conservative? What are you talking about?

You seem to be genuinely interested in the issues, but from what I can tell you support Obama 100%. Is that true?

Ulterior motives, any Republican that continues to vote for billion dollar wars in countries we don't belong in are not Conservative.

No Child Left Behind on paper is a nice idea, but so is Socialism. Want to know where they go wrong? When they actually applied. They create standards kids can't meet because the schools don't have enough funding in the first place. And since they don't meet the standards, they lose even more funding and fall even more behind.

Never mind the fact that the tests are 2nd year college based, the concept of 12 kids to a class doesn't work when the schools don't have enough teachers, funding, or space for 12 kids to a class in a 2,000 student school like mine for example.

The tests are also intentionally made to bring down scores to lower funding. Not everybody is going to be in Algebra 2 or Pre-Cal in 11th or 12th grade, yet that's what the tests are on in your junior year; Algebra 2.

How can a student who is in Geometry, Algebra 1, or even Pre-Algebra still take such a test? They can't, so therefore they bomb and fail miserably.

The same thing goes with Science with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

No Child Left Behind when applied is a CFF (Complete Fucking Failure).

Never mind it motivates the teachers to "teach the test" instead of what the kids should be actually learning for the class.

The whole war after war being Conserative point was I was saying that someone who supports and funds billion/trillion wars for countries we should not be in.

I am very genuinely interested in the issues, and I don't always agree with Obama like with the bailout. However, he is a much better choice then John McCain and or Sarah Palin in my honest opinion and from the research I've conducted.

Not true. There have been some gains in the Public School System. However, as I've said before, I still do not trust government schools and therefore do not send my kids to them.

Which is not a conservative point of view, as you implied in your first sentence.

He might actually be the lesser of two evils. Obviously, evil is still evil, so I want no part of that. We'll see just how evil he can be.

Coming from someone who goes to a public school and is a senator; trust me when I tell you they've taken steps back.

I never said it was a Conservative POV to keep going to such wars, which is why there are no Conservatives left in congress.

The lesser of two evils perhaps, but least this evil isn't a big giant fuckup in general with policies. Which is the definition of John McCain.

There are a few. There are even some Democrats that are conservative.

I'd like to know who they are then.

Personally, I'd like our bloated Military spending budget decreased but that will never happen as long as Republican fear tactics are being played.

Cause you know, we pay all these defense companies with no-bid contracts in the hundreds of millions to billions of dollars for stealth jets, etc.
