Hey everyone,

Just needed to vent for a moment, especially because the last few days have been so stressful. We received the approval for disability, but now it turns out that a local agency that needed to process the claims managed to ‘misfile’ the information, meaning that the entire process is going to be held up by several more weeks – possibly even months.

This means that someone either sent files the wrong way or just lost them altogether. Especially if you consider how important this is for my family’s financial future, this is just so frustrating that is just almost feels surreal. Even though you know it is not something that they did ‘on purpose’, it is still incredibly frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced delays because of administrative errors? And if so, how did you manage to deal with them?

Yes every time I have ever dealt with the government. But it is never because of administrative errors. Their primary method of operation is hopefully you will die or give up before we have to pay.
