Has Obama damaged national security?

If this goes to trial, maybe we can get this Republican judge back into the court room. He spent the better part of two years masturbating with a penis pump under his bench during trials. Another in a long line of republican sex criminals. Maybe this kind of trial would really get his conservative jollies off.

District Judge Donald Thompson, 61, was accused of using a "penis pump" in court and convicted in June 2006 on four counts of indecent exposure.

I think you get off on posting this shit.

Perhaps you would rather have Republican judge Robert Somma preside over the trial?
He was issued a DWI recently while wearing a black cocktail dress, fishnet stockings and high heels. This great conservative/republican morality serves you well. You should be proud.

this absolutely will work as a recruiting tool for AQ, they will get more members and US soldiers and civilians lives are thus put more at risk.

that is on obama's hands.

there absolutely no need for this. this is not a court of law trying to prove a case with evidence. this is obama using public opinion to bash bush and cash in on getting more popular with his base....see...look, even though i said i wouldn't prosecute....i am about showing the evil deeds of bush.

a complete political hack move that put american lives at risk

Americans are totally burned out on your kind of fear mongering. Restoring credibility at home and in the world puts us back on a path that resembles the America my ancestors faught for.

The fact your father fought in the Civil War is indeed a worthy contribution.

Thank you. :clap2:

You can wordplay all you want, "by releasing the 'torture memos' Obama has made America safer because blah blah blah..."; the fact is now that Obama has done what he has done, independent research groups are already working to figure out not just if Obama has done damage to the US, but how much damage.

This could be the equivalent of FDR announcing an impending invasion of France in June, so do not despair about the war.

Obama, whether in a moment of cocaine-induced idiocy, has released memos of how the US acquired sensitive information, allowing in a deadly cat-and-mouse game, for the mouse (Al Qaeda et. al.) to catch a glimpse of where they went wrong, what they need to correct, and how they need to reapply themselves.

Furthermore, Obama has alienated large amounts of US intelligence, telling them "do what is politically correct or you may be retroactively charged with crimes that were never crimes to begin with."

An honest and thorough review of the enhanced interrogation program must also assess the likely damage done to U.S. national security by Mr. Obama's decision to release the memos over the objections of Mr. Panetta and four of his predecessors. Such a review should assess what this decision communicated to our enemies, and also whether it will discourage intelligence professionals from offering their frank opinions in sensitive counterterrorist cases for fear that they will be prosecuted by a future administration.

Congress Knew About the Interrogations - WSJ.com

Mr. Hoekstra and others are already preparing to rid the US of this scourge Obama.

And, really, if it is discovered that US national security has been even slightly hurt by this deliberate policy move there is little recourse that America could take other than to forcibly remove Obama from the office of President. It's not about "on the job training". It's about the fact that never in the history of the US has a President at least willingly damaged the United States' military interests and exploits putting at risk the lives of Americans for sake of politics.

I almost feel sorry for Obama, he just seems to me like some stupid kid caught up in a nasty world; I feel sorry for him because this isn't the kind of playground where you go to time out. Obama should be charged with Treason if found to have damaged the United States' military operations in any way.

We can play GOTCHA POLITICS 'till pigs fly, but endangering national security by the release of the torture memos is a stupid argument. It's not as though they came as a surprise to anyone.

I’ll probably take a lot of flak for saying this, but I doubt that Al Qaeda gained much knowledge from BO’s release of the classified terrorist memos beyond making that knowledge official which gives Al Qaeda another recruitment tool.

On the other hand, If I were the head of state of another country, this would give me great pause and concern regarding how much I’d be willing to entrust BO with anything I didn’t want in the public domain. I wouldn’t be concerned that BO would blow the whistle on me, but rather the next Republican administration which I think is going to stick a fid so far up BO’s ass that it’ll pierce his tonsils.

I think the same scenario applies to US officials ranging from CIA operatives to military powers. In short, if I’m in a position of power right now, I’m going to indulge BO publically, but when it comes to dealing with him to regarding things classified I’m going to deny him in the best interest of national security.

In short, I think BO may have damaged himself more than he damaged national security or the Republicans with this publicity stunt.

I agree with that . . . but now AQ knows just how far we won't go to gain intel. In the long run, I believe this releasing of info will come back to haunt us.

There are some very good key points here. Our enemies can now be trained to withstand and endure our interrogation techniques b/c they know the distance we are willing to go. This is very important information to keep away from people we want to capture and interrogate.
There is also the loyalty concern from our allies about giving information about them. It is the wrong message to be sending to all sides involved in this. Leaving the door open to retroactively prosecute people for their involvement in activities that were "legal" to do at the time is simply not done and is a dramatic directional shift that should be fought against vehemently.

It's difficulty to say, if this release of information will prove to be an effective recruiting tool for AQ. Bottom line, we can't base our decisions on that criteria b/c we are attempting to destroy their organization, just about anything we do, they will try to use against us in the form of recruiting. According to that criteria, inaction would replace action, and we would allow them to regroup, reorganize, and strike us again on our home turf. This group is intent on doing all they can to cause harm and damage to the U.S. That will not change if we 'play nice'.

This release of information was reckless at best on the President's part. I like some of what he is/wants to do, but he is very much a loose cannon.

Anyone would have to be living in a cave (pun intended) not to realize that bin Laden was fully aware of what was going on in the torture department. THINK!!

Al Qaeda reads American newspapers, watches CNN, uses cell phones and computers. Hello?

Just because the memos giving the okay were released means nothing. Frankly, the whole sordid mess was sure to rear its ugly head eventually anyway because everyone knew, from across every mountain and sea!

You people are acting like some BIG SECRET was suddenly disclosed.

right...thats why obama used fearmongering to get his spendulus plan passed...

and i'm sorry if you think talking about the fact that obama's political hack game puts american lives at risk is fear mongering. it is a fact that last time the pictures were shown revenge killings and recruitment went up. it is thus entirely reasonable to expect the same again. but your hatred for any but the democratic party clouds your reasoning and judgment. pity.

right....thats why you probably, like most dems, argued for the release of photos of the dead coming home....BECAUSE IT MEANS NOTHING

why can't you guys put aside your partisan crap and really look at what exactly is being accomplished here. if everybody knows, then what purpose is there in releasing the photos? it only serves to incite our enemies and that puts american lives at risk and you guys love it because it makes bush look bad. your irrational hatred for bush is destroying this country.

I didn't know the German occupation of Poland was a civil war.

I didn't know the Irish participated in invading Poland. My dad was in the army..his brother in the navy during WWII. My grandfathers in WWI ...dads father was merchant marine rescuing boats sunk by uboats in a sea going tug. My moms dad was in intelligence.

I always guffaw when I see that kind of statement, written time and again by the cons. I mean like you guys aren't "clouded by" what your fellow cons say? One would think that eventually you would get it, and not advertise your hypocrisy.

I apologize for insulting your parents who served. but I won't apologize for insulting you.

Partisan nonsense.

Were these people worried when the Bush Aministration outed a CIA agent?

No.

So spare us this flag draped patriotic bullshit.

We know god damned the people you tools pander for don't give a rat's ass about America OR Americans.

The Bush administration didn't out a CIA agent. Her bigmouth, self-agrandizing husband did.

So spare us the leftwing faux outrage.

Ya know those left wing talking points play like a broken record.. Do you remember records?

I notice you have over 9,000 posts. Do you ever say anything smart or just smartASS?!

You have no idea what my politics are. Assuming because I don't react like a little crying schoolgirl (that would be you) at a horror movie every time you neo con cretens say boo is your mistake. I am well armed and fully capable of dealing with any "terrorists" should one pop up in my neighborhood. Until that happens I think I'll sleep soundly.
