Has God ever lied (as with Scriptural evidence?) Could he?

Can God create a rock too heavy for God to lift?
All intellectually dishonest questions.

Can God make the impossible possible?

Then what are miracles?
Are they dishonest claims?

Where do you think those questions originate from? Surely, you do get the point behind them!!

He asks Abraham to sacrifice his son Issac. Then sends down an angel to stop Abraham.

Why did God command Abraham to sacrifice Isaac?

I have no clue. I have studied the Bible for over 60 years and still have problems with it. As far as Abraham goes, the Bible says he was told to sacrifice his ONLY son Isaac but at the time he had two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Further, the Bible says the God was testing Abraham but I cannot understand how an omniscient being would have to test anyone to know what is in their hearts. Sorry, can't help you.

The thread was looking for a lie, told by god.

I found one.

Careful

Is it God talking--or is it a lowly human putting words in God's mouth?

Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

King James Bible
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Other versions render it 'does not lie'

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. 2 Thessalonians 2:11
Who was it again that said they would go and be a lying spirit in the prophet of Ahab's mouths?

You have 2 choices.
A. God created you and everything in the universe around you.
Or
B. You and everything in the universe around you is a byproduct of an explosion.

Both involve miracles.

The Lord of Hosts is His name.

It is not like warning is not given in advance :bye1:.

These questions are actually discussed by most of the Rabbis throughout the last millennia and opinions differ.
Some say God CAN make a rock too heavy for Him to lift; then He makes the rock lighter so that He CAN lift it.
But WHAT is the rock? A sinner that, like Cain, God would not carry and then relented and decided to carry Cain?
The Rabbis who have delved into these philosophical essays say the matter can not be taken on face level and most of them have not yet been interpreted into other languages because the language used is very difficult to decipher correctly.

The issue is we can only think in 4 dimensions about an infinite God. It's like an ant trying to figure out the universe.

A misleading truth. My 'sense of scriture' is that Abram feared for his life if it were known that he was her husband. Pharaoh was angry that he may have committed an offense to God and man.

Could God lie if he chose to? Is God subject to his own law?

Since god is a trinity, the father, the son and the holy ghost...you can bet your ass one of them has lied. How could anyone in their right mind believe there are three live ones anywhere and one of them didn't tell at least one lie? I've always been a little suspicious of that ghost guy anyway. I think he's the one who liked to handle snakes:
