Has anyone else seen the newest VW ad?

It's the one that the sales guy tells the customer to accellerate through the curve, and points out all the other people braking, and that the VW will pull you through the turn. Ok. Um...ALL front wheel drive cars can do this, and rear wheel can too, but to be done with caution. The VW is not any more special to where you can accellerate rather than brake through a turn. I do the 'accelleration' thing all the time in BOTH my cars. The VW ad is extremely deceptive, making it look as if the car in the ad is the only one on earth that can do that.

Exactly. It's called down shifting and flooring it.

At least that's what I do for turns, and I don't own a VW.

there's a spot on 35W southbound here in MN that is posted for 35mph. it's nearly a 90deg angle, and I have taken it at 45-55 mph, depending on the weather, because it is a left turn... ok, fine, I pretend I am running the Brickyard 400 in my Monte Carlo when I do this...you had to drag it out of me!
