After being rescued, J.C. asked to return to the home to retrieve another priceless possession: His wedding ring.

"I couldn't save my house but I had to save my marriage," he said.

Well I knew my friend JC Spencer would get into the news someday. But never expected this way!

How Chick-fil-A Played a Role in Jet Ski Rescue of Elderly Couple During Harvey

JC is one of those people I never would have met without divine intervention.
He works on glycoscience research he believes is knowledge sent from God.
If you're going to reform health care and medicine, and end the pharmaceutical
monopoly on drugs that don't work, JC's glycoscience research into cost-effective
natural solutions are the way to go. Says God through Jesus. Amen!

JC is old family friends with Ted Cruz's father, and they get together for visits
when Ted is in town and hanging out with family.

Most of my other friends in Houston politics are KPFT crazies, progressives who stand up against Democrats hijacking politics from the left, and general naysayers of anything to do with Republicans or conservatives.

Only because Clinton and Obama screwed up so much did I start connecting at all
with other Constitutionalists who aren't used to having an ally on the left, especially not a prochoice Democrat.

Anyway here's to my friend JC. We get each other but our friends
seem to be worlds apart. Maybe this flood, the Harvey disaster
and what it will take to rebuild will bring more people together
to drop the politics and rise above. I can't believe that's JC on Inside Edition.

But that's him, I recognize his sense of humor
You have to be able to laugh in the face of disaster
to tolerate being friends with me. And the political disasters
all around us, it will take people from all parties to fix!

Fix what? The system is working exactly as it is designed to.

Dear Fenton Lum
Yes and No. Some people believe the parties are supposed to lobby to impose
one "political belief" over others by "majority rule"

As a Constitutionalist, I have long argued that political beliefs and secular beliefs
should be treated equally as religious beliefs to prevent discrimination by creed,
which I argue is against the First and Fourteenth Amendments, aswell as the
Code of Ethics for Govt Service. See www.ethics-commission.net

The system works as well as we use it.

We can either use the system we have to respect due process
and equal protection of beliefs of others equally as ourselves and our own.
Or we can continue bullying and protesting when we get bullied back.

I finally met another liberal minded person who AGREES
with me that political parties could and should be treated as religions.

We can still keep and use the system as is,
but respecting each other's beliefs and rights
instead of violating them.

Examples: the ban on gay marriage was a violation.
In Houston, the red light cameras were struck down
as unconstitutional. had the Constitution been respected
in the first place, taxpayers would have saved millions
of dollars otherwise wasted on fighting to correct pilicies
that should never ha ve passed in the first place.

Fenton Lum instead of Democrats wsating millions
in donations to fight for a losing policy such as the
transgender bathroom bill that got voted down democratically,
I'd much rather have had Democratsinvesting that money
into saving and restoring a national historic Freed Slave
civil rights landmark right next door to city hall in Houston.

so you think the system works fine as is?
fine, if we had money to waste and still save our
national landmarks, forests, and population by
covering our medical expenses and preventing
crime and disease we can't afford otherwise!

But as long as we waste resources and aren't
solving the problems "due to lack of funding"
then something is wrong with the system.

The money we spend isn't going to where it's needed.
And if this keeps creating more debts and damages
than we can afford, it's going the wrong direction economically.
We need to invest in sustainable solutions that
break the cycle of abuse and poverty.

Similar to how defense spending should be for security
to prevent war, not cause more and more costs of war
where we can't afford to keep spending trillions and
not establishing lasting peace and stability.
