harvard gun study

One billion guns outside a gun free zone does nothing against a criminal with one gun inside that gun free zone.

So why the fuck aren't you petitioning Virginia and South Carolina to have personal gun sales go through reasonable background checks?

Because they already do back ground checks.

Wrong, you lying fuck. Personal sales do not require any background checks in South Carolina or Virginia for private weapons sales. Why are you such a lying piece of shit?

Does anyone know the rate of gun violence per capita between whites, blacks , and hispanics - any disparities

Self-proclaimed Christians commit the majority of murders in the United States. I hope that helps.

As well as a higher population.....Or did you think that didnt mater in your race to take freedoms?

Does the concept of "RATE" mean anything to you?

Does the concept of population density in relation to rising crime mean nothing to you?

Try again, population density has a DIRECT relationship to increasing crime rates. IOW, the more people you stick together in a small space, the greater number of criminals per capita you are going to have.

There is also social issues, cultural issues and a HOST of other things that relate to crime and homicide rates. We can pretend all day that gun ownership is the only thing that matters but we know that is utterly false. The only real data that matters is the data that isolates (as much as possible) gun laws with crime rates. Essentially, that means we need to compare crime rates before and after strict gun laws have been enacted in that locality. I'll let you a guess as to what you thing the outcome has been in such areas...

US cities pale in comparison to the high population density of their European and Asian counterparts.

Harvard Gun Control Study
"Nations with stringent anti-gun laws generally have substantially higher murder rates than those that do not. The study found that the nine European nations with the lowest rates of gun ownership (5,000 or fewer guns per 100,000 population) have a combined murder rate three times higher than that of the nine nations with the highest rates of gun ownership (at least 15,000 guns per 100,000 population)"
FBI Statistics back that up too:
U.S. violent crime down for fifth straight year - CNN.com

Gun sales are booming yet crime is decreasing. How could that be? If it's really the guns that cause problems then crime should be increasing!

OldRocks has no answer because he has to wait for a fake study to be published from England.

I notice that the states with the highest gun ownership rates also have the highest firearm murder rates. The rate in Missisisppi is nearly three times the rate in New York. How could that be?
Rudolph Giuliani lives in New York and did something about lowering the murder rate when they needed someone to do something about cracking down on heinous crimes. His model was adopted by his successor.'

Mississippi could learn something.

I'm shocked that coming from Harvard?

Why? Are you against academic freedom? BTW, the way the wingnuts are extrapolating from that study is bone stupid.

More cops on the streets was also adopted by Bill Clinton.

step back a few decades when we had no gun control laws. not only did we have semi automatic weapons out there, we had people with full automatics. and we didn't have the sensless murders of today. it's not guns that are the problem

As much as I think that right wing morons are misinterpreting the Harvard study, and the flaws I've found it it, academic freedom provides people the right to publish unpopular and even stupid opinions without fear of losing their jobs. Are you really this stupid?

What the gun control morons don't understand is that fully automatic weapons have been illegal since 1934.
