Just saw him interviewed on the news. He stated that the Supreme Court ruling sided with what he was doing before this decision was made and even though some parts of HB 1070 was struck down, what they decided now gives him Constitutional authority to profile Mexican looking people to see if they are legal U.S. citizens. If Carrottop has been detained for a committed offense and there is reasonable suspicion he is here illegally, yep.

Got a link of him saying he can now Legally Profile? Not saying he didn't say it, Guy is kinda Wacky. But Clearly that is not what the law, or the SCOTUS Decision said at all.

If, and only if they have committed some other violation can the Police then inquire about Immigration Status.

I am sure it wont be 24 Hours before some illegal Claims that even thought he was doing 65 in a 45 mile hour zone, He was Racially Profiled, and the lower Courts will strike down this provision as well.

You have to produce "papers" when detained as part of a crime committed.

That lack of identification allows the legality of citizenship to be called into play.

Looking Latino is not enough.They need to first Break a law, then They need to have a Valid Reason to think they are not legal. Like not having a Drivers License, or unable to communicate in English at all, Etc.

Not a perfect solution by far, but what is your solution? do absolutely Nothing, but stuff that encourages more Illegal Immigration and continue to allow Millions of Illegal Americans be taken advantage of by employers?

No, they can't. It doesn't meet the threshold of 'reasonable suspicion'. No driver's license, no insurance, no SS#, THAT'S reasonable suspicion.

AND this can ONLY take place if the suspect has already been detained for a DIFFERENT crime/violation.
