Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

Today we celebrate the lives of the American men and women who laid down their lives for us that we may remain free. We thank them and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for serving in the United States military. Thank you for all that you have done for America.

It takes a very special person who is willing to run into danger and not from it in order to save the lives of others. These men and women do not even consider their own lives. While the enemy seeks to take every trace of Jesus Christ out of our military, it will be no more successful then trying to stop the wind! Because when we raise up our children in the LORD they take Christ with them wherever they go. Every time a Christian joins the military, God who is with that individual is there in the military. Every time they enter a military academy, take a military office, there is Jesus. Let us continue to raise up godly men and women that will defend our nation with honor, integrity and valor representing Christ to a lost and dying world.

Happy Memorial Day!

I didn't realize Stephanie had already put up a thread. Please merge this one, Mods! Thank you!

The paragraph without all of the religious babble was spot-on.
I served 23 years in the military before retiring and served with service members of different religious beliefs and non-beliefs.
We were there because of a unifying goal, "to serve a free nation and in doing so, keep it free."
However, many of those who served and served and died for this great nation would cringe at the thought that we were bringing in tens of thousands of Muslims each month, many of whom would like to destroy our Constitution and its freedoms and once they get into politics, will happily work toward that goal.
