Last chance the Germans had to gain iniative on the Eastern Front even if it was ill conceived.

Needs a good modern movie that can become a July4th classic.

By the numbers, it looks like the Germans kicked arse. But in the end they lost.

the battle of Prohkorovka ( sp) was the key. the 5th guards tank army (5th I believe) blunted the nose of the German advance, it was down hill from their. (memory my good man)
