Hannity shoulda gone after Kimmel advertisers

Okay. So politics and public policy editorialist Hannity, along with his team of writers and his own delivery skills, can, having apparently nothing better to discuss, take an obviously offhand remark a comedian, in this case Kimmel, made and try to make political and/or ratings hay out of it. Kimmel, like Hannity, having his own media platform, and his own cadre of satirists and delivery skills, can respond.

Frankly, unless I too had a staff of satirists, I wouldn't engage someone like Kimmel (or any other comedian) in "doing the dozens." After all, any good strategist knows that an attacker who engages an opponent on the opponent's home turf must have a huge advantage in resources and gross capacity. Railing directly against a commentator whose specific skillset is using comedy to highlight the absurdity of things and people, is just asking for trouble because there's no way to win that battle when one's opponent is adept at making one look stupid and making a live audience laugh while doing so.
