"We have carried out 800 open-heart surgeries, regulated traffic, and built 44 schools," billboards boldly proclaim in white letters on a vibrant magenta background.

Not the proud boast of a Scandinavian country, but a publicity campaign undertaken by the Gaza Strip's Hamas government, which has plastered news of its achievements at road junctions, in the across newspapers, on the Internet and even on the radio.

Under the slogan "We are building the nation," the Hamas PR campaign combines the concepts of environmental responsibility with that of opposition to Israel, which maintains a partial blockade on the territory.

"We continued to build, despite the siege," says another which shows Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniya wearing a construction worker's hard hat, poring over plans with architects.

what a joke "the siege" The only thing keeping gaza going is its relationship with israel-----which IS, INDEED, falling apart. Once that
relationship is shattered and gaza falls into the loving hands of Egypt-----it will become a mini assad/syria. Anyone interested should examine Pre 1967 Gaza better yet----talk to someone who REMEMBERS

That is close to the craziest thing I have ever heard.

It is simply a fact that is inconsistent with the propaganda you so eagerly swallow. Have you ever had a conversation with a GAZAN? Have you ever spoken to a gazan who lived in Gaza BEFORE 1967? I have. In fact I have a bit of familiarity with the outcome of the gross medical neglect of children in Gaza pre-1967 I am sure you assume that the standard of living of gazans is way below that of the average EGYPTIAN peasant out in the deserts of egypt -------sorry----nope-----it is far superior, in fact it is probably superior to the standard of living of the Bedouins out in the arabian desert of saudi arabia----of course since 1967

You neglect to mention that in 1947-1948 the population tripled in a matter of months. This increase was homeless, unemployed refugees. No place in the world has an economic infrastructure that can deal with that increase.

What has Israel ever done to ease this problem that it created?

Growing up and taking responsibility is an arab problem, of course.

What has the muslim world done to ease the problem of the huge influx of impoverished, pillaged, malnourished and sick jews who escaped islamic oppression and migrated to Palestine/Israel 1940-1960? What as the muslim world done to ease the problem of millions of HINDU refugees from islamic rape and murder who glut the streets of Calcutta after ----being the survivors of islamic genocide in east pakistan? What are the jihadist pigs doing to ease the plight of sudanese refugees in Israel ? raping their women and enslaving their children was no KORANIC REWARD enough for them?

The Palestinians had nothing to do with that.

We may, indeed, say so, because their mommies and daddies had been busy tearing camel gearboxes in their stampede to palestine to enjoy the "zionist plantation" and to try and redistribute what wasn't theirs later.

That's a really silly answer. so you believe that the issue of jews and muslims in "palestine" is UNIQUE and subject to UNIQUE RULE that favor only muslims-----and the same rules do not apply to jews who live or have lived in OTHER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE EAST no less the world? well you are not the only one who believes that the only people in the world how have rights are muslims-------muslims of southeast asia believe the same thing---------nevermind about the hindus and how long they have been there the muslims over there still talk about the MOGHUL PIGS as if they owned the place

Tell us Tinny, if Hamass wants to do great things, build a nation and compete with the world, what possessed them to throw a turd in the punchbowl with the border attack? Just another tantrum they threw? They probably blame Israel.

Excellent question.

That's not much of an answer.
Surely your boys at PIC ("The Voice of Palestine") have some insight into the matter.

So far nobody has found a link between that attack and Gaza.

In fact, Egypt and Hamas have formed a joint security team to hunt down the perps. Surely they won't be searching in Egypt. I'll offer a bit of speculation (IMHO): Gaza is a pretty rough neighborhood and one of the local gangs decided to stake its claim to control of border traffic. Extortion cash can be very tempting.

Lame deflection. I see you're already running out of your handbook "facts" and "talking points" and are sliding down into the snarky stuff.
Have a nice trip.
