Hamas-linked CAIR refuses to explain its claim that Muslims discovered America

This is a consistent pattern: Islamic supremacist spokesmen in the U.S. regularly make unsupported claims and then refuse to back them up. The most egregious example of this is the regularly-repeated Big Lie that counter-jihadists quote the Qur'an out of context, ignore or deny its peaceful passages, and generally misrepresent Islamic teaching -- the element that is lacking every time such claims are made is an interpretation of the Qur'an's violent passages, and an explanation of their "context," that renders them benign.

An update on this story. "CAIR chief claims Muslims discovered America first," by Neil Munro in the Daily Caller, January 4:

Muslims discovered the Americas long before Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, the head of a D.C.-based jihad-linked Islamic lobbying group told a Saudi TV station Dec. 27.
“There are historical accounts according to which the Muslims preceded Columbus, who is said to have discovered the U.S.,” claimed Nihad Awad, the co-founder of the Council on American Islamic Relations.

“Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S., [so] the bottom line is that Islam played a part in the establishment and development of the U.S.,” Awad told the Saudi interviewer, in an interview in a New York studio.

What?! America is occupied Islamic lands?! Then Dearborn must be Gaza, USA.

Since when was 'Hamas' ...CAIR? Hamas has nothing to do with America and is the local government of the Gaza Strip...thousands of mile away. Your headline is misleading. And your links are garbage. Nice try, trying to turn a infallible source into a credible report or news related topic. Fail.

Federal Judge Agrees: CAIR Tied to Hamas
November 22, 2010

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has been connected to the terrorist organization Hamas, a federal judge said in a July 2009 ruling unsealed last week.

"The government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with NAIT, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas," U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis said in the July 1, 2009, ruling.

CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) had protested to Solis that they were incorrectly named as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2008 trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. Among the allegations, HLF was accused of having provided more than $12 million to Hamas. After a 2007 mistrial, five former HLF officials convicted on 108 counts, ranging from money laundering to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists.

Did the donkey say another stupid thing? You claimed that CAIR has nothing to do with the Hamas, quite the opposite, Kalb:

Allegations of terrorist ties

Critics of CAIR, including six members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate,[55][85][86] have alleged ties between the CAIR founders and Hamas. The founders, Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, had earlier been officers of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), described by a former FBI analyst and US Treasury Department intelligence official as "intimately tied to the most senior Hamas leadership."[87] Both Ahmad and Awad participated in a meeting held in Philadelphia on October 3, 1993, that involved senior leaders of Hamas, the Holy Land Foundation (which was designated in 1995 by Executive Order, and later convicted in court, as an organization that had raised millions of dollars for Hamas), and the IAP.[88][89][90] Based on electronic surveillance of the meeting, the FBI reported that "the participants went to great length and spent much effort hiding their association with the Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas]."[91] Participants at the meeting discussed forming a "political organization and public relations" body, "whose Islamic hue is not very conspicuous."[92]

Critics also point to a July 1994 meeting identifying CAIR as one of the four U.S. organizations comprising the working organizations of the Palestine Committee of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization and supporter of Hamas.[93][94] CAIR has responded by noting that Hamas was only designated a terrorist organization in January 1995 and did not commit its first wave of suicide bombings until late 1994, after Awad made the comment.[95][96]

:lmao: ...Roudy...it really isn't hard poor guy, if you can't make a comment, turn that Tourette's syndrome off my man. You made no relevance in your response.

Sure, your claim was Hamas has nothing to do with CAIR, and I showed you they are joined at the hips. Denial is not a river in Egypt, kalb.

No I claimed what CAIR says isn't what Hamas says because Hamas is a government in the Gaza Strip moron. The OP is here for the trolls.

That's kind of funny.

Next Hamas will be asking for a right of return. :lmao:

but i wouldn't exactly say CAIR is Hamas linked.

but then again, your source is jihad watch.

Hamas never said that, and this 'report' doesn't exist anywhere besides on Jihadwatch(hate site that fabricates random reports).

Hamas belongs to Palestine, they could care less about America and you know better than not to play dumb.

I see you edited your post and acknowledged that, cool.

Hamas only fires rockets in response to defend themselves, if you say that as if it was true, there would have been another Cast Lead and a giant war, the only reason the November conflict escalated is because Israel didn't expect such a big response to their Assassination of Ahmed Jabari. Gaza has no military, they are a para military almost. All they can do is fire rockets anywhere at Israel in defense of theirselves and as a way to deter Israel, which worked a little in this November conflict. You can disagree with their military tactics but that's all they can do when a World Power pretty much bombs their tiny strip of Land every 2 years to weaken Gaza and to weaken their militant groups, no because they want to 'defend' their people. Because they want to weaken those militant groups. While at to they destroy millions of dollars of property in Gaza which weakens the economy so Gaza can't compete with Israel. Yes in some ways they can if they didn't have to deal with war all the time. The Israeli generals said it was an operation they had planned and said they have to do it every 3 years. It wasn't Hamas who started anything at all. Hamas actually was stopping any little groups from firing rockets and also when they made it like they responded, they would fire little short range rockets into open fields and Israel would come back and also bomb and empty open field in Gaza as a way to say they both don't war.
