Apparently, Hamas and other Arabs think the Holocaust is relevant.

Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah has declared to his supporters that "Jews invented the legend of the Holocaust." Syrian President Bashar al-Assad recently told an interviewer that he doesn't have "any clue how [Jews] were killed or how many were killed." And Hamas's official Web site labels the Nazi effort to exterminate Jews "an alleged and invented story with no basis."

In fact, the Palestinian Arabs were instrumental in sending hundreds of thousands of Jews to their deaths in Nazi concentration camps. The Arab uprising of the 1930's forced the British to end Jewish immigration to the Mandate at the very time the Nazis were rounding them up and sending them to the camps. In addition, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini, the leader of one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the Mandate and reputed to have been Arafat's uncle, spent the war years as Hitler's guest in Berlin from which he helped the Nazis recruit Bosnian Muslims and broadcast pro Nazi and anti semitic messages back to the Arab world. Although he was wanted by the allies as a war criminal, he remained revered in the Arab world until his death many years later.

It charged in a statement on Tuesday that UNRWA had violated the principles upon which it was established, explaining that instead of aiding Palestinian refugees it was smearing history of the Palestine cause and acquitting the “Zionist enemy” of the crimes it committed and still is committing. The statement said that UNRWA was feeding the schoolchildren wrong and misleading information in an attempt to make them forget about their cause and history and finally their right of return.

Finger Pointing and Condemnation have no value. Both sides have the full right to nationhood. All peoples have the right to be heard. Denying the pain of any people is childish. Peace will only truly come when hatred and accusations cease. The best way to achieve this goal is to support a defensible Jewish State and a distinct defensible Palestinian State. Each state to be held strickly responsible for the initiation of violent attacks and the propagation of violent/hateful messages.
