GAZA, (PIC)-- The Hamas Movement said the new documents disclosed on Monday evening by Al-Jazeera satellite channel about the Palestinian authority's readiness to waive the right of return emphasized the role of the PA negotiators in closing the file of refugees in favor of Israel.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that what the PA and its negotiators did to the Palestinian people's rights was a historical catastrophe in every sense of the word emphasizing that the credibility of Al-Jazeera documents cannot be questioned or doubted.
According to an internal memo dated July 24 2008 from de facto president Mahmoud Abbas to the Israeli side, the PA offered its approval to waive the right of return to the 1948 occupied lands and make do with the return of 10, 000 refugees every year for 10 years to the agreed future Palestinian state.
