Not sure how the recall election is gonna turn out. WHen I left the house, I saw Ed Shultz hiding an outburst when the initial numbers came out showing strong GOP leads. I'm sure a lot has change in the last hour. But two thoughts....

1- I was a bit creeped out when I saw the teenage boys in the crowd being forced to hold those Communist symbol signs, the red ones with the big blue fist and a white star. They're being told this is to support teachers, I'm sure. But a bit of reasearch shows what that fist to the sky is rooted in. Creepy.

2- Most hilarious is this: Lets say Dem's win it. And overturn the anti-union bill. Then, the governor would in theory have to resort to the action that he didn't do before the bill passed, which is laying off a bunch of teachers to balance the budget.

So, if the communists get their way and win the recalls, they'll win a victory....that will end up getting a bunch of them fired. How freakin' ironic, right?

I don't understand how showing support for teachers is a radical communist action.

Via Politico reporter Dave Catanese,

Dem source: Dems will get close but not close enough in #SD14 for @FredClarkWI. GOP source says Rs will hold all but Kapanke. #WIRecall

Do you show support for your own state budget--or do you keep asking taxpayers to pay MORE for cadillac benefits to government workers--that the private sector pays for themselves?

That's the question.

Whackos? I think it's great to see patriotic Americans exercising their rights. I hope they are rewarded.

And you're probably Thankful you don't live in Wisconsin either--and have to flip a tab for the government workers union and their demands on the taxpayers of that state.

I thought they were already laying off public workers up there to balance the budget?

They are and they have laid off thousands! My aunt was one of them!

Here's the thing, if cutting funding was supposed to create jobs, how come so many are losing them as we speak? And if increasing revenues would have ensured that those jobs were retained (while the government managed its fiscal budget) then why are some GOP leaders protesting it?

They're reasoning doesn't make sense to me!

How were they being "forced" ?

to hold those Communist symbol signs, the red ones with the big blue fist and a white star.
Those aren't communist symbols.

How could the WI gov't "increase revenue"?

OH......you mean JACK UP TAXES.

No more cute code words for tax increases please.:eusa_shhh:

The union movement is well tied to the socialist/communist movement. "Workers" are used as pawns by those two movements. And the WI teachers are just the latest ones.

What are these "Cadillac" benefits you speak of? Never heard of them. My Aunt taught school for 33 years and she has an old Honda. She had breast cancer after retiring and didnt' go into bankruptcy over it - is that a "Cadillac" benefit?

My brother works for the private sector and has better health care than any public sector worker could dream of.

The anti-communist movement is "well tied" to the fascist movement.
italians are "well tied" to the mob
and all muslims are "well tied" to al-qaeda.

No factual evidence needed. Just hate and fearmongering.

So, now that this recall nonsense is about over, they should now go after every scumbag teacher who commited fraud by accepting fraudulent doctors notes, from fraudelent doctors, in order to defraud the state and it's citizens.

Same goes for those fraudulent scumbag doctors who issued them.

Teachers in my state never caused a budget crisis and quite frankly I don't believe that they were the main cause of Wisconsin's budget crisis.
