Guns don’t kill

Serial Killers rarely ever use guns.

The guy who ended up being the worst serial killer in history lived in Russia and killed more than 90 people by stabbing and strangulation.

I don't know which lib is more out of touch with reality, Truthmatters or LilOlLady:

GUNS DON’T KILLBut people use guns to kill.

Key word PEOPLE

Guns are the enablers of mass killers.

One word: "Bombs"

Never heard of a gun killing someone without a person being involved.

Idiotic statement.

bad people use guns to kill as well as good law abiding people.

That doesn't even make sense.

Guns easily turn good people into killers just because the gun is readily available.

Ignorant garbage.

Alright, this is too stupid to continue with.
Ted Bundy killed by strangulation and bludgeoning his victims.

Not in the age of atomic weapons, guided missile frigates, Abrams and fighting vehicles, and the NSA eavesdropping.

Our household weapons will stop nobody.

Only the loyalty of our military troops to constitutional government protects us. If we lost that, then it is over.

The 1st Amendment, far more than the 2nd Amendment, protects our rights.

Someone should have explained that to the Vietnamese.

That makes absolutely no sense, Missourian.

That's OK, Jake. Neither do you...

Guns allowed in anyone’s hands is gun in the hands of criminals. bad people use guns to kill as well as good law abiding people. For those who are quick to argue that "guns don't kill people, people kill people," it is instructive that the Norway killer took many more lives with his guns than with his explosives. Violent individuals intent on inflicting multiple fatalities don't choose knives or baseball bats. With few exceptions, they choose guns.

Disarming the law-abiding gun owner the right to bear personal firearms will only serve to put him/her at a disadvantage of the person who wants to commit crime with a gun.

One of my earliest memories is being on the school playground in first grade. Everybody was sad and depressed because one of the children my age had brought his dad's gun to school with a friend and unknowingly killed himself. Don't know how he got it, why it wasn't locked up... but that kind of story is all too common in america, with almost half a thousand gun deaths each year.

But anyway, my feelings on guns is that guns don't kill people, but it makes it ridiculously easy to kill scores of people. Case in point, that one dude in Norway, Anders Behring Breivik, managed to kill 69 people. He never would be able to even get close to those numbers without a firearm. Guns allow people to reach out and kill their friends, their families, their neighbors, and their 'enemies' with heart chilling ease.

Guns and other military weapons and explosives are the dream weapon of murderous people worldwide, who want to kill as many people in as short an amount of time.

Many people are comfortable with that. And that disturbs me.

True.

The Second Amendment protects one’s right to self-defense and the individual right to own a handgun accordingly, and other weapons ‘in common use.’

But the notion that an armed civilian population can somehow overthrow a modern government perceived to have become ‘tyrannical’ is a naïve anachronism.

Otherwise, the only thing guns kill is my bank account…jeez…

No. The idea that an armed population would tolerate a tyrannical government is simply silly. It would still be silly even if it is assumed that the military and police would ignore their allegence to the constitution and back the tyrants. Enough determined people revolting against government throughout history have proven they can get job done without being armed. Being armed to begin with just makes it easier and less costly.
