Gun nuts, what good came of this?

reality: trigger locks prevent this, keeping pistols away from kids prevent this....you dont wanna hear the facts but i am a gun owner and i have never had a gun accident....why....i know the gun rules...and yes, i taught my son the gun rules....see how simple that is....

In Ireland, the only guns that you are allowed to own are hunting rifles. These must be kept in gun lockers, and if you own one, the police are allowed to check to make sure that your rifle is stored safely and properly.

True. First off, we have a constitutional right to own guns. Second, I dont need Joe Law checking my gun. Hell, I know more about gun handling than 90% of those yayhoos. Third, I am sure criminals in Ireland use nerf balls to commit crimes. Right?

When I used to dispatch 911 part-time, we were shown this video as part of our training to show us,
"how long (meaning not long) it takes for a police officer to "get in trouble" on a traffic stop. This man was a nut, and is now on death row. At that time, and probably still, the Southeastern US has the highest number of officer shootings on traffic stops. The key is keeping them out of the hands of loons. children die daily in this country....from many causes....pools...drowings....car wrecks....abuse by parents. etc and so forth.....

The best way to prevent the accidental death of children is to ban children

Far more children die from ingesting prescription drugs left out than from guns. Unless someone wants to propose making stupidity illegal that's the price we pay for a free society.
