Guess Where Coca-Cola Is Investing $4 Billion - Forbes

Lovely.

Who says American companies aren’t investing? They are. Billions, in fact. Only, they are just not investing here in the U.S.

Atlanta based Coca-Cola (KO) plans to invest $4 billion in China, the company’s CEO Muhtar Kent told reporters in Shanghai this week. It’s the company’s biggest planned investment in China since the 2009 investment of $2 billion. The investments will start next year and is part of the company’s China capex until 2014.

Can't blame them.

Playing by the rules as currently enforced, they're just maximizing profits.

CAPITAL knows no national boundries. It can pick and choose where it will reside, for now, thank you very much.

Wealth has no obligation, assumes no responsibility, and certainly it has no patriotic duty to the nation from whence it was first created.

CAPITAL is FREEDOM, kiddies.

CAPITAL walks the walk that probably none of you reading this will ever walk.

YOU are exactly as free as your wealth will keep you. Most of you, myself included, are peasants. Some of us are loyal peasants, some of us not. But we are irrelevant and of little consequence in the greater scheme of things

Welcome to the brave new world
Libertopia

You must be this rich ($,$$$,$$$,$$$) to ride on this economy.

The cost of shipping something as heavy and voluminous as soda pop would make it impossible to sell at an affordable price.
Now...if they were producing Coke there and shipping it here...that would be another story.
Which is what they must be doing. Why else do they have bottlers scattered locally all around the world? Because the transport costs ARE too much.

Ironically, this venture by Coke will create more private sector jobs in America than Obama's stimulus........

How's Rick Perry's porn industry doing, asswipe ?

Let's see...the very same liberals that called for a tax on soft drinks are shocked that Coke is looking overseas for expansion?

Are you folks REALLY this dim?
