WASHINGTON – The U.S. General Services Administration hails key investments in advancing taxpayer savings through sustainability and government efficiency in President Obama’s $675 million budget for the agency.
“The President’s budget for GSA will build on a historic year for the agency in increased sustainability to make federal buildings more efficient, cost effective, and save taxpayer dollars,” said GSA Acting Administrator Stephen R. Leeds. “Through investments that will enhance governmentwide information systems, the President’s budget will allow GSA to fund innovative IT solutions to further reduce costs by opening up the government to citizens, creating collaboration across government, and funding information technology solutions that increase speed and efficiency in government operations

What is hysterical is that Neely's wife had actually put up pictures of him in a hot tub sipping wine on Face Book.
Corruption does happen both sides of the aisles as we know, but what is really appalling about this case is that the individuals involved were actually mocking the system and quite proud of ripping off the taxpayers.

In later tough questioning of that official, GSA Chief of Staff Mike Robertson, Issa determined that a lawyer in the White House counsel's office knew of the ongoing investigation of the GSA in the middle of 2011, nine months before the earliest time acknowledged by the administration.
However, Robertson later issued a statement to clarify his testimony to the committee, saying: "I only mentioned in passing the existence of an (inspector general) investigation as I bumped into a White House staffer that I regularly worked with on GSA issues. This was in late May or June of 2011."
On Tuesday, Johnson said she received no orders from the White House on how to respond to the controversy, and Miller said he had no contact with the White House on the issue.
Johnson also repeated her opening statement from Monday, in which she said she found a badly managed GSA when she took over in 2010 after more than two years of interim leadership.

However, it ain't just GSA in my opinion. Just a while ago now few people were even aware of GSA. But it's just one of dozens or hundreds of agencies, departments, etc. hidden away in the bloated overall federal budget with its own budget for annual spending that virtually no one oversees for the kind of stuff that's been going on with GSA waste.
There's likely billions of taxpayers dollars similarly pissed away year after year.
