Hi, I'm the one and only LiberalNut. I'm male, 45 years old, and I'm from Bristol, Rhode Island. For the last few years I've been a special education teacher in a local high school but this year I haven't been teaching. I've been building a little empire of apartment houses because prices are so cheap and interest rates are so low.

I'm highly educated. I have associates degrees in Liberal Arts and Civil Engineering Technologies. I have bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Economics. I'm certified to teach History, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology and Special Education (mild-moderate disabilities) at the high school level. I have a Masters Degree in Public Administration and I'm currently half-heartedly working on my PhD (Political Science). At this rate, I'll never finish.

As my sceename would suggest, I am a very liberal thinker. However, when talking to me, you will need to disassociate the word "liberal" from words like "socialist" and "communist". Regardless of right wing propaganda, these things are not synonymous.

I am a Catholic in good standing but I do not practice that religion. I have spent time in the Far East and I do practice a hybrid form of Buddhism/Christianity/Quantum Mysticism. I am the founder of the First Church of the Past Light Cone. If anyone is interested in this, I'd be glad to offer more information.

I've been happily married since 1997 and I have one child, Maximilian. He is 10 years old and in the 5th grade.

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and a VFW of the first Gulf War, commonly called Operation Desert Storm.

I'm an avid golfer and a fanatical fan of the Boston Celtics.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm something of a musician. I play both 4-string electric bass guitar and a little 6-string electric guitar. I have a Fender J-bass and a fender Telecaster (both American). The J-bass gets much more attention.

I'm 6'1" tall. 212 pounds at last weighing though i think I've lost a couple of pounds since then. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I wear glasses and a beard though it's getting so gray I'm tempted every day to shave it.

My shoe size is 10 1/2 wide and my pants are 36 waist, 32 length.

I live in Pittsburgh. We watch football all the time. The Steelers have only one loss. Rothlisberger may very well be a sleazeball. He has two Super Bowl rings. Should Brady be the paradigm of NFL quarterbacks?

There is a total of six Super bowl Championships won by the Steelers. That total is expected to rise every season.
