Green Jobs Bonanza?

Anyone can pretend they are creating something of value with billions in government subsidies.

Less in government subsidies than oil and coal.

Uh, what "subsisidies" do they get?

What I said.

Government has to rig energy markets to make this garbage fly.

Oil 46.9%

Natural Gas 13.5%

Coal 12.6%

Hydro 11.3%

Nuclear 9.8%

Solar 5.1%

Geothermal 0.9%

Solar

A nice 12 Megawatt installation, partially constructed as we speak. This is just a start. Solar will grow even more rapidly than wind. And wind has been increasing by 20% to 30% a year. Don't you wish that you had an investment that had that kind of growth?

There are panels now that sell for less than a dollar a watt, in Megawatt lots. That is less than half the cost of a dirty coal plant per watt. Not only that, you don't have to buy any fuel, and maintence is a minimal amount compared to coal. You get the juice during daylight hours when you need it the most, and wind and hydro takes care of the night.

It's a scam. It's not cost effective. 30% growth of a 2% market share is a 2.6% market share.

Very stupid to display your ignorance of compounding math. Not only that, it is already at 7% of the generation in Oregon for wind, and 14% of the generation in Iowa.

9 Gigawatts of solar in just Texas. That is equal to 9 nuclear plants.

How do you explain the failure of the Spanish and the Italian programs?
