I love that triangle cut bread with the white dipping flavored sauce - excellent Greek Dish.

Greek Food is AWESOME. Wonderful creations these people have. I had occasion to spend a year in that country...and brought back lots of weight to show for it.

Love Pita...(NO not the pocket stuff) but real 'Flat bread' served with Lamb, Pork or other meats, Satsiki sauce, A great salad with a huge slab of FETA?

Topped off by Baklava, and a few shots of Ouzo, or a snifter of Metaxa?

Makes for a wonderful evening of dining.

Most of that food you actually find also in Turkey.
There is a serious patents war going on in both countries' food industries.
But, for what we give credits to Greeks is invention of sex.
But Turks introduced it to women ;)

Lived in Turkey too. It sucked. And no, the bread was better in Greece.

I think MidEastern food is probably my favorite, too.

When I was a kid, I live in a town with a lot of Maronite Lebonese.

Those people take cooking and eating rather seriously.

Good people, too.

Great Americans.
