Of the ones in the poll, "All About Eve" outclasses them all. It has some of the best dialogue ever written, and the cast is superb.

I love chick flicks from the 50s and early 60s, a few all time favorites (the first four are Douglas Sirk films):

- Magnificent Obsession
- All That Heaven Allows
- Written on the Wind
- Imitation of Life
- The Best of Everything
- A Summer Place
- Rome Adventure
- Summertime

For more recent vintages: Mystic Pizza, Secret Life of Bees, and Ever After.

As for Mini Series, seconded on the A&E version of Pride & Prejudice. Others: Middlemarch, Vanity Fair, Bleak House, The Thornbirds.

Best chick flick ever?
3 Stooges go to Mars.

You people just hang with the wrong chicks.

I will cop to "Definitely, Maybe." I think Isla Fisher was shining in that one.

I also liked the Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks chick flick, "Sleepless in Seattle."

It even gave my wife and me the theme song to our marriage.

Sleepless also had a great scene involving, coincidentally, guys discussing chick flicks and gals discussing chick flicks.
