Great Negotiator, Barack Obama, U. S. President, can celebrate the apparent new cessation of Lincoln-esque hostilities against the South.

BP: No oil leaking into Gulf from busted well - Yahoo! News

Working with Socialist responsible BP--notice even Yahoo has a Green Look, Like BP, and recent federal funding(?)--the intervention into the market-place, of Washington, D. C. prodding BP--is succeeding.

Not even the Waste of GOP-backed, class-action, "Due Process:" Was necessary. Like in collective bargaining, negotiations tend to win for both parties.

Finally, even U. S. National News networks--likely with one notable exception--are bringing in high-tech skilled, doctoral level commentators: To provide explanations of just what has been involved in all the foregoing weeks.

Long Walks on the Beach, with the guys. . . .from the parishes. . .actually are not what got the matter solved.

Rhe relief-effort partnership, then begins in earnest in August: Obama Administration, and BP Administration.

Sweet, that means we can stop this stupid moritoriam that is going to destroy American jobs and fill the pockets of George Soros.

Long Walks on the Gulf Coast beaches, aka, concepts that U. S. news commentators understand, are actually more likely to be on the newscasts: Than some manhole cover, 5000 feet in the Gulf of Mexico itself.

Fantasy On TV "makes" the news, any more: According to some execs.

(Great-Chicken-Hawk-Of-Many-Many-Territories bring again plenty oysters to drop on hot rocks. . . .in sand. . . .where-water-never-flows. . . .of many Nations, for feasting! Only best living conditions for indigenous peoples, in America, in place!)

Not a chance...

Obama Administration Issues a Second Moratorium on Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico
Staff Contact: Dan Naatz

The Secretary of Interior, Ken Salazar, issued a second moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico on Monday. This effort comes after a federal court decision overturning the previous moratorium was subsequently upheld on appeal by the Obama administration.

The newly issued moratorium effects numerous operations and thousands of jobs. IPAA Chairman Bruce Vincent issued the following statement in response to the Secretary's actions.

This Administration simply does not understand the grave economic and national security implications that such misguided, politically expedient policies continue to have on our nation, especially in the struggling Gulf Coast region.

Tens of thousands of good-paying American jobs are now in jeopardy because of this moratorium. It’s impossible to reconcile the fact that just last week President Obama said that ‘We had to stop the freefall and get the economy and jobs growing again,’ and today his Administration is once again taking such irresponsible measures that will lead to fewer jobs and rigs permanently leaving our seas, without adding any additional environmental benefit.

Judge Feldman’s recent ruling correctly recognized the severe unintended economic consequences of this moratorium. Unfortunately, the administration does not recognize the potential consequences because virtually no changes were made to this new drilling ban – it's simply more of the same shortsighted policies being created. If this Administration is sincere about its commitment to creating jobs, and putting our nation on a stronger path toward energy security, the very notion of a moratorium would be shelved immediately.

IPAA Washington Report - 07/15/2010

Health Care was sexy. Vice President Biden even said so, and before millions. Brazil probably benefits from the rigs moratorium, more than does any single entrepreneur. There is idle equipment, just sitting around, and high-tech manufacturers: Willing to make more of it.

In California, NASSCO closed down its ship-building plant just this week, in San Diego. The United States Navy no longer comes calling! There is, however, the giant pooper-scooper fleet to be built, in photographs with explanations that analysts can understand.

There is even a new industry already fledgling, unfolding. Gulf Coast Restoration is multi-state, regional, and possibly new technology--and the Green Technology--demanding.

"Pooper Scoopers," the analysts understand. "Boats," even gets right down to it, in fact. Wafer Testing, and newer micro-energy technlogies--from which they are employed--is probably not yet. . .well known--in those places. "Sewer," and "Manhole Cover:" Any news analyst understands!

In sum: Socialist Interventionists, Know that there are lots of other things yet to do.

The other stuff can be done out to sea, on some ocean, somewhere.

We do have to get on with our lives--someone famously said.

Apparently, even Prince Philip comes from Greece, or from somewhere, away from the Islands themselves! Some of Isles are even famously Green, it turns out!)

The OP is trying to demonize Obama and his green proposals by linking Obama and BP and trying to say they are cozy and chummy.

Only problem with that is, the person BP held meetings with, which allowed this fiasco in the first place was Dick Cheney and his backroom meetings with BP.

Oh yeah......let's not forget.........BP had a SIGNIFICANT hand in getting the Lockerbie bomber back in Libya.

Wanna know why? They wanted to drill there, and that was part of the deal. No wonder the fucker got a hero's welcome.

Cheney supported BP, BP supports terrorists, therefore Cheney supports terrorists (using the logic they gave us in that admin).

BTW, i can't help but note the ready admission here that President Obama is a Socialist.

Nope. Didn't need to, all of it's true.

Haha....

What the hell is going on here? I can't make heads of tails. And that was intended to imply it made sense just like the OP.

Is anybody aware that there has been two moratoriums on deep water drilling since 1981?

The first was created by congress in response to the 1979 oil leak, the second was created by the Elder Pres. Bush after the exxon spill in Alaska.

It wasn't until late in 2008 when the younger Pres. Bush lifted the moratoriums.

So you have this industry that has only really existed for about 18 months - before a major disaster occurred - and suddenly the entire economy of the Gulf region is supposedly dependant on it.

Huh?

Could it be that a very, very small number of people are affected by it? That it is not causing a major negative effect on the economy of the Gulf and that it's only some very, very powerful interests are portraying it as much, much more than it really is.

After all, the moratorium is on NEW DEEP WATER drilling...so how many people can it be affecting?

How many people and how large is the economic effect that this BP oil spill has caused?

As usually, the wingnuts are buying the BULLSHIT hook, line and sinker.

Any intelligent, responsible person knows that until oil companies have ways of preventing disasters like this from happening again, all deep water drilling, not just NEW drilling should be stopped.
