Anyone recalls that the U. S. National Unemployment Rate has started its downward spiral, despite the opposition to that of the entire Republican Party. That Party only knows one word in two languages: "No!" and "Nein! Nein! Nein!"

The government of Greece--in stark raving contrast--is calm. More like U. S. Liberal and Conservative Democrats, the leaders in Greece have come to agreement of a compromise on government. S&P will likely take note.

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou And Opposition Leader Reach Draft Deal On Coalition | Business | Sky News

Educators and historians cling to a pie-in-the-sky belief-system regarding that GOP disregard of the lives of working white adults in America. First there was the slaughter of 1861-1865. Then there was Herbert Hoover. Then there was Bush-Cheney. All sovereign-debt crises worlwide originate of peace-time Deficit-Maker, Ronald Reagan.

Even the Ivy League Obama administration failed to comprehend the plight of the U. S. Working Poor. Ivy League health plans were more important than low income neighborhood employment. The Reagan Trajectory remains firmly in place even now.

Socialist Greece found out about its unpaid working class: In relatively certain terms. The Socialist Premier will leave.

One thing about Greeks and their gifts: They do seem to know about the money! The compare and contrast is with the RNC and Ivy League in the United States.

I don't see where they've seen the light. Seems to me they want to continue business as usual while others pony up the money to pay their debt. No austerity measures without permission from the people which they have a snowball's chance in hell of getting. Postpone the inevitable--maybe if you can keep pushing the problem on ahead you won't have to deal with it until you're long gone.

And did you miss the part that no agreement would be forthcoming until the Prime Minister stepped down?

I bet the Republicans would be willing to negotiate on a lot of things if Obama would step down.

Deal?

Sure. They would probably even stop nagging Harry Reid to deal with all those bills the GOP has sent over because they could pretty safely reassure the American people that the long nightmare would be over come next November and we could look forward to a real recovery beginning.

Does your doctor know you are off your medications?

Okay, bottom line. The Greek PM was dragged kicking and screaming by the rest of Europe to doing the fixes he SHOULD have done a year ago.

Just like Obama had to be brought kicking and screaming to finally agree to address America's debts.

What are they going to compromise on? Either they comply with the EU's demands for reform, or they don't get their loans and they go bankrupt. The Greeks parasite class can be as petulant as it wants, but it no amount of rioting is going to change the terms of that deal. What are they going to do when the rest of Europe tells them to go to hell?

I hope the rest of Europe tells Greece to go to hell. All those whining socialists need to find out what socialism is really all about.

Let them rot. The world, especially the government, owes you NOTHING unless it does wrong to you, the government that is.

I think our government did wrong in sending our jobs overseas, and not protecting our workers in our own country, allowing companies to bring in "guest workers" and illegals to keep our wages artificially low.

When my job went to India, I tried to go with it. After all, I can live better on $4.00 an hour in India than I can on less than $9.00 an hour here. Couldn't do it. The Indian government says those jobs are for it's own citizens. Ours is the only country in the world that doesn't protect it's own citizens jobs. We take in more legal immigrants than all other countries combined and we still allow illegals to take our wages even lower.

Our government has done "wrong" by us. If you don't believe that, you're either in the top 10% or you aren't paying attention.

Then get with the Tea Party movement that demands that government do its constitutionally mandated duty to secure our rights, enforce the law, and then get out of the way and let the free market work. When that was the norm in America, we had the most prosperous people in the world. The more the government has meddled, refused to secure our rights, refused to enforce the law, and engaged in more and more social engineering, the misery index proportionately climbs.

The Comparison with Obama Steeping Down, and The Greek Premier Stepping Down, is that in a parliamentary government, then even a neutral third party can take over.

In the United States, there is a pre-established line of succession. If Obama-Biden steps down, then Obama-Biden takes over.

It is not correct to compare a parliamentary democracy with the U. S. Constituitional democratic republic.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Indeed!)

Well I'm all for getting Biden for a year. He couldn't possibly be worse than Obama has been and I can't in my heart believe that Joe Biden would intentionally harm this country or anybody in it. Would he be incompetent? Yeah he probably would but at least he would be a lovable incompetent instead of what we have now.

But if Biden resigned with Obama, then we get Boehner and that could be really interesting. :)

The United States Constitution actually forces compromise a lot, which is why the Tea Party hates it. The Daily recital of the U. S. Constititution is no longer a part of any Tea Party GOP agenda. It is not in their presidential debates.

There is Amendment 25. The President appoints a New Vice President.

The Republicans opposed the Obama-Biden Stimulus, and the Obama-Biden measures: And still refuse to compromise.

The comparison with the parliamentary model is not appropriate, even in real life.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Many comparisons with real even found on Lands of Many Nations!)
