Great Patriotic Song - God Bless The USA by Lee Greenwood

I first heard this song last Independence day, some local GOP candidates were playing it on their float in the parade. When I went home, I listened to it on YouTube and it brought tears to my eyes. It really is a great, touching song.

Anyway, they got a lot of cheers even though I live in a pretty liberal area. By contrast, the local Democrats made the stupid choice of putting a big Obama -Biden 2012 sign on their float...they got a lot of boos! It was ironic.

I live on the blue island of Atlanta, GA. Not in the main hub---in a section further north.

If you agonize over polls --I am not certain what inferences you might be able to make. The area of which I speak is about 10-15 sq miles---liberals, conservatives and independents are sprinkled through out.

I like this one a lot. My family actually went up north during the gold rush, and my Great-Grandpa did pretty well. He went from a poor son of an immigrant to owning his own Ford-Trimotor private plane, which was like the private jet of the 1930s.

I wish I could've lived his life...in essence, he lived the American Dream.
