Well thanks to the fine folks at Washington Mutual, I'm breathing again. Not only breathing, but delighted to find that in spite of all the stupid, my credit rating is 2 points away from 'excellent.' They are doing a re-fi for me. For the first time I'll be able to have my taxes escrowed, credit cards paid off, and enough to fix up my house, saving me over $7 hundred per month at 6.1 for 30 years! No penalty for paying early and I'm on accelerated scedual!

Being me, that means we spent the last 2 days at Home Depot, got the estimate for doing my kitchen, bought the stuff to remove wallpaper. The kids are doing that with their friends, while I went to the grocery to get the fixin's. Well the meat my dad got at Omaha Steaks. We're having: filets, brats, burgers, chicken, and hot dogs. Got 8 different salads, Mexican appetizers, Fruit tart, and cookies.

Going to fireworks if rain allows! Happy 4th! :usa: :usa: :usa: :salute:

I thought about coming up to V.C.. Phantom asked if I was going because he wanted to come up too. But... I'm staying around the house doing a ton of chores. Laundry, dishes, filing, paid a couple bills, did fit in a movie so far, but I figure I'll just go up on the hill behind my apartment tonight, which is already way up on Summit Ridge Drive, sit there and have a cold one and watch all the fire works over Reno. I might even be able to see V.C.'s.

Happy 4th arch and all.

Kathianne, your cooking sounds WONDERFUL!!! Now I'm hungry... :happy2:

It was! :) Everything turned out great, except after the son had put on table, the filets were a bit too rare, I mean they yelled, "Ouch". So had to give them a few more. All cleaned up, dessert is going to be in an hour or so, we're too full to move!

Yesterday I went to a party at a friend's house. We cooked out and mixed up some P.J. that actually turned out pretty well. It was a really good time, although because we started "celebrating" around 4:00, I was in bed by like 1:30, I think.

Today, I... recovered.

The pig was awesome! The beer was great as well as the company. Overall one of the best 4th of July holidays ever. I have a few tents in the front field with people beginning to sleep it off.

No1's roasted pig sounded good! But you are on mark here, that's plenty!
