GREAT!: 14 US States Hit Record-Low Unemployment...

Making America great again. Good on ya Trump!

Fourteen states have set new records for low unemployment rates in the last year.

The states hitting new unemployment lows run the ideological gamut, from conservative Texas to liberal California, suggesting a recovery stronger than any particular political persuasion.

In March, eight states saw new record lows, including Hawaii (2.1 percent), Idaho (2.9 percent), Kentucky (4 percent ), Maine (2.7 percent), Mississippi (4.5 percent), Oregon (4.1 percent) and Wisconsin (2.9 percent).

Colorado’s unemployment rate is just 2.6 percent, among the lowest in the nation, and a third of the 8.9 percent peak it hit in 2010.

In Alabama, just 3.7 percent of workers are unemployed. Arkansas reached a 3.6 percent unemployment rate last May, its lowest rate ever.

North Dakota set its own record last year. Texas hit a 3.9 percent unemployment rate in November, after peaking at 8.3 percent during the height of the recession. Tennessee fell to the lowest unemployment rate it has ever measured, 3.3 percent, in January.

Such a tight job market means businesses are competing for workers, rather than workers competing for scarce jobs...

Damn that Trump...... actually doing what he said he would do..... a politician is only supposed to promise to do things, not actually do them......

Lol, NO Trump's job growth so far has been million+ jobs short of of his "25 million jobs!" promises. Promise works out to 3.125 million a year and there were only 2 million jobs created in 2017 (the worst growth in 6 years)

Ah shucks, did Trump lie?

you, he lied, totaly and shamelessly. Trump himself is an ignoramus but there is no way his economic advisors are too fucking stupid to know that it's not possible to create jobs at that rate during full employment (AKA 30% unemployment acc. to Trump).

The numbers are skewed as always anyway.............Those no longer seeking employment are no longer counted........as the Dept. of Labor has redone the formula many times over the years to make it look better than it really is....................And it doesn't account so many part time.

Almost everything you just said is bullshit. Who feeds you this nonsence?

If you are not looking for a job for over 3 weeks you are not U3 unemployed - that has ALWAYS been the case.
If you are not looking for a job but want a job, or are part time and want full time then you are U6 unemployed.

I'm not gonna spend the time again on showing how they changed the math over time........

And BTW.........I'm a Trump Supporter...........but I don't like how they altered the math.

They didn't alter math and of course you are a Trump supporter, gross misinformation gives it away.

Say Antonoo, you aware of the housing crash? You ever bounce a ball or play the drums? Still waiting on the great policies Obama came up with to improve our economy. No doubt Obamacare had WAY more impact than low interest rates and cheap gas.

On a side, 2005-06 a median home in the area sold for $325K. Same house was worth 157K in 1999. Too much too soon, on Bush's watch.

Around 2012 that same house was worth 128K. Do the math by applying a reasonable rate (7% interest) that 128K house is worth about 78ish. In other terms, the fall was FAR deeper than the climb was high. The PRIMARY reason we didn't completely collapse was LOW interest rates. They remained especially low throughout O'bummer's tenure. "Obama's economy" couldn't handle an adjustment, which there should have been. They let it go too long and they're still too low, but at least there has been some correction - on "Trump's economy".

I'll say one thing for Obama's admin., they forced changes in sub-prime loans etc.. Anything short of that would be gross incompetence.

The major flaw in what you are saying are baseless ASSumptions about ball bouncing. There is no known floor that it bounces against, there is no set rebound and some times it bounces more than once, which is called a double-dip recession.

Obama's policies certainly did not cause all growth, but just as certainly they've added significantly to ending recession earlier and pace of the rebound.

870 billion that was the volume of Stimulus did not disapear into thin air as some conservatives rediculously claimed - it added to growth and jobs.

There was also administering of the bail program that began under Bush with reforms and stress testing of our financial institutions along with QE monetary policy conducted by Fed Reserve - all of which gave more confidence to markets to lend, to invest and to grow.

Economists estimate that without those factors this is what "ball bouncing" would look like:

Good news? Yes and no.

Happening on Trump's watch, not because of Trump.

He's taking credit where it's not due, and in such a fashion to make him look ridiculous.

Like when he demanded thanks for doing almost nothing against ISIS. Pretending that the Russians weren't doing more than the US, pretending that lots of other groups were doing far, far more. It was as if Trump were on the ground with a gun in his hand.

How many troops does Russia have in Syria compared to how many troops the US has is Syria?

What percentage of fighters in Syria are US troops?
