Grass Roots Group financed by 11 checks gives GOP "MILLIONS" - Hilarious!

American Action Network, a Washington group formed by Republican power broker Frederic V. Malek and run by former senator Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), collected $2.75 million from July 2009 to June 2010 in just 11 checks, the filing shows. The largest were two checks for $1 million apiece, and the smallest were two checks for $25,000.

Due to its tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(4) advocacy group, the Network is not required to reveal the donor names.

It is a couple of rich people who can hide their identity behind a c-4” tax status.

Brian O. Walsh, the Network’s new president, responded that the initial filing reflected revenues needed for the group’s “start-up,” and that its donor base expanded as the group collected another $24 million or so in the four months preceding the election. He declined to discuss how many additional donors it had.

Does anyone wonder why Republicans want to cut taxes and give subsidies to millionaires and billionaires?

Holy shit Ragin Fucking Hippocrate Alert. :):flameth::eek:

When your outrage has run down, are you going to complain about billionaire George Soros having undue influence over the Democratic Party?

If it weren't for double standards, Dean would have no standards at all.

Where oh dumb one did I say ANYTHING about organizations? Oh that's right, I didn't.

Wall Street implies "companies" and "corporations". You can't call janitors, secretaries, tellers, and so on "Wall Street".

I don't know why it's so hard to understand. You are on a "gotcha" high. But you're too stupid to see you are "stupid".

LOL @ you for being a simpleton who thinks that janitors and other service people donated millions and millions of dollars to a presidential campaign.

and has the nerve to call others dumb.

Individual contributions make up 88 percent of the total amount raised by the McCain campaign and 100 percent of the money raised by the Obama campaign.

For Obama, 47 percent of money raised has come from individuals who have donated $200 or less, while 27 percent has come from persons who have donated $2,300 or more.

For McCain, the numbers are nearly the opposite, with 26 percent of donations coming from people who have donated $200 or less and 49 percent from individuals who have donated $2,300 or more.

FactCheck.org: What is the average size of Obama's contributions and what is the average size of McCain's contributions?

Things haven't really changed for Obama. Since the Supreme Court opened the floodgates, it's the Republicans who have benefited NOT the Democrats.

Hilarious that Republicans insist "Democrats do it to". Like they don't have "morals" because the other guy doesn't.

Their political contributions are as different as the parties. One is 90% white and mostly Christian. That makes for one very exclusive party. The other is "everyone else".

Those are just the facts. Why deny them? It's who you are.

Change the freaking law if you want to know the names of the c-4 doners and quit whining about it. The whole tax exempt mess, including Media Matters which is the most hard core left wing media entity and tax exempt, was created by left wing (now a civilian) senator Russ Feingold and GOP senator John McCain who was either tricked or willingly engaged in voter fraud being one of the Keating Five. McCain should have been indicted but a democrat congress had to give him a break because the other four were democrats. It's pretty ironic that Media Matters gives the left wing ammunition to attack the tax exempt status that they enjoy.

You want to see how to run the idiot RDean right out of a thread about donations to political parties?

Deano, given your claims that the Republicans are the party of "big business" how do you respond to the FACT that candidate Obama received more money in campaign donations from Wall Street than any other candidate in history?

Haul ass little man, you know you will. This has been asked of 9 times now with your only response being asses and elbows.

You have a link?

The first 8 times wasn't enough for you?

Thank you for proving that FactCheck.org is a bunch of partisan hacks. Do you understand that, under election laws that govern campaign contributions, corporations are individuals?

Obama's claim of independence questioned - USATODAY.com

What that means is that the measly few million McCain took in from PACs was dwarfed by the massive donations Obama took in from corporations. Not to mention the fact that Obama spent more the final quarter of his campaign than McCain raised for his entire campaign because, unlike your idol, he chose to take public funds, and was thus limited in the amount of money he could spend.

Can you explain why you, a person who thinks that taking money from corporations makes you evil, support a man who broke his promise to limit himself to public funds?
