This is outrageous.
Like the great depression it started at the coasts and worked it's way inward.
Makes sense since that is where most of our population and industry and ports are; within 200 miles of maritime waters.
That, and the economies of the central states are more resource based (food, oil, etc) and these types of products hold up better in recessions.
That lifestyle is the only way to sustain.
Irish drunks like you just have to worry about having enough money to buy booze.
